I can attest to this issue, when we have a large number of cache files to clear, it can take more than a minute (in my case 100+ secs) resulting in 522 error in WordPress admin. Also in general slow down is observed when purge is running for WordPress backed.

thanks for pointing it out, well it works, as i said it is beta version and the chances of bugs are always their, in this case it is, php’s safe mode problem and also the folder name mismatch might be a problem.

the zip file creates a folder name as “akwpuploader-alternative-wordpress-image-uploader.0.5.0”

while plugin assumes the folder name to be “akWpUploader” hence the issues. I will release the fix in next 3-4 hours.
