    In developing Spectra, we strive to strike a balance between offering innovative features and respecting user preferences. For features that we believe will genuinely help the user, we enable them by default. For others that may not be universally beneficial, we keep them optional. However, in all cases, we ensure that there’s always an option to enable or disable these features based on your needs.

    Our goal is to continuously improve Spectra and add value for our users. If every new feature were kept optional from the start, the software would struggle to evolve and meet the growing needs of our community. We want Spectra to be a tool that grows and improves with time, offering features that add real value to your experience.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the AI Assistant. We understand that the AI Assistant may not be relevant for everyone, and we want to ensure that Spectra meets the diverse needs of all our users.

    To address your concern, we’ve made it easy to disable the AI Assistant. You can do this by navigating to the Spectra menu -> AI Features -> Manage AI Features. Here is a reference screenshot for your convenience: https://d.pr/i/mSn55v

    Disabling the AI Assistant will remove the AI sidebar in the editor and stop any associated resources from loading.

    We do use semantic versioning as you suggested: 1.x.x for major releases, x.1.x for minor updates, and x.x.1 for patches. However, our last update, v4.13.9, may not have aligned with this approach as it should have. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and will ensure better adherence to semantic versioning in the future.

    While we strive to make Spectra compatible with any standard theme or plugin, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee smooth operation if a third-party plugin causes an issue on the site. It is outside of our scope.

    You’re right, clicking the close icon should completely hide the admin notice. Usually, it does as we developed it, but sometimes things like website cache can cause it to reappear.

    If that happens to you, our support team is here to help figure out why and fix it for good. They’re the best option to get this resolved quickly.

    In case you can’t reach support for some reason, Mohsin has already shared a filter code that can also hide the notice. Think of this as a backup plan since support is usually the best way to go.
