Not sure on how to start a new thread. I am using Word 5.0 it was upgraded to that version recently. I did not have the classic editor plugin and I loaded it up. I have it now with the Gutenberg plugin. I deactivated the classic editor and activated the Gutenberg plugin. I still have the same problem. I now understand that Generate press is a theme. I am guessing now that my current custom theme is not compatible with Gutenberg.

I am also having problems changing my website back to Gutenberg. I am still learning how to work my website and reading the above answers still leaves me confused. In one answers it says to disable Generate Press. Not sure where this is and the other answer is to disable my classic editor plugin which I cannot find. Any assistance with getting me back to Gutenberg would be greatly appreciated.
