Regarding the Follow Button just wait for the next update rolling out in a few days that will resolve your issue with the follow button for jetpack plugin.

No not at the present. But will be by Nov. first week.

To transfer your subscribers to a .org self hosted blog, Install and activate the JetPack Plugin from Dashboard>>>>Plugins>>>Add New and then connect it to your WordPress.com account.
Once you connect just open a support request at WordPress.com to transfer your subscribers from .com blog to self hosted .org blog (.org blog must have Jetpack plugin running) and one of the staff will do that.

Oh yes, the plugin currently displays the no. of subscribers.
But wait for two to three days for a update which will probably have option page with ability to change the position of the follow button, color, plus icon, text etc. and add a subscriber count in the follow popup also.

You can either change them from the CSS in the follow-button-for-jetpack.php file if you feel ok with CSS and PHP.

Oh Yes. It misbehaves in many mobile browsers (It is not perfectly responsive)
I am working on it and will try to resolve it in the future versions of the plugins

1. I visited https://www.lifewithjenn.com and I saw the follow button
2. I clicked the follow button and it opened perfectly
3. I entered my email address and I was able to subscribe successfully & it said a confirmation email is on its way
4. I received an email to confirm my subscription here is the screenshot
5. I clicked the link in the email and it said i was subscribed successfully

Wysija is a good newsletter plugin but I have tried only free version of it.
I can code the standalone version for Wysija in 2-3 days. (But I will need some help about the subscription form and lists)

Before starting I would just like to ask that should I host it into WordPress directory????

I just installed the plugin and tried and made a draft upon the new plugin:
1. Sub-Option page under Wysija Menu (or under settings) to choose which list/lists to
subscribe.
2. Child Template system for better customization of look of follow
button & popup

What I need is the subscription form code (generalised code) and how can one subscribe to more than one lists with one subscription form?

instead of widgets you can activate email subscription and use Follow Button for FeedBurner Plugin
