In reply to: [Lightbox for Responsive Images] update: Good enoughI tried it again…
Here are some more points I would like to add…
DO KNOW THAT I am rating it 4 star just to motivate you and see you happy. I do not think this app deserves 4 star at all. Please improve it. Find more bugs yourself. I am pretty you are capable enough to do that.1) First of all, I don’t want to sound as a rude person or a demotivator but I do not think users will like this plugin over other light weight light box plugins because simply said currently it has many minor bugs which I don’t even have the time to mention. So if people come and see my review and leave, I think that is only fair. You must find those bugs out yourself rather than me doing so. Anyways, in the next points I have mentioned some of the bugs.
2) In the homepage of the blog, where several posts are listed with their featured images, the plugin should not start working there. When someone clicks on the featured image, he/she should be sent to the post. Your plugin opens the light box for each and every image (including the featured images on the homepage) which is not good and irritating. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. FIX IT!
3) On some images (for example on my blog – https://www.theadarshmehta.in/blog/how-to-enable-gzip-on-your-website/2015/12 post’s image – right now I have disabled the plugin though) the plugin displays the exact same image displayed on the post and not the full size version of it. But in other posts, it is working fine. I do not know what is causing this, but if you do, figure it out please and fix it!
4) Have a look at these images in sequence:

https://i.imgsafe.org/d841b63.jpg
https://i.imgsafe.org/d89f0de.jpg
https://i.imgsafe.org/d8f284e.jpg
As you can see, the right side lob sided light box problem still persists! It irritates me a lot. Looks ugly.5) Zooming problem is out of the question now as you do not want to implement it. So never mind!
6) Your light box stretches the image completely to fit the screen (even if the image is very small). I looks good sometimes and sometimes it does not. Its your call. I’d say (if you can) provide an option to the admin to enable or disable the stretch feature.
KEEP IT UP!
Thank you.

In reply to: [Lightbox for Responsive Images] update: Good enoughIt is very nice to get a response from both the plugin author as well as the plugin contributor. ??
I have been looking for a very good lightbox that would satisfy all of my needs, but have not been able to find one. :'(
Here are some of the things I would highly recommend that you both implement/fix in your lightbox.
1) Make sure your lightbox adapts to the size of the screen/window. Now, your lightbox does that. But, as I reported earlier, your lightbox could not display the rightmost part of the image if after opening the lightbox the window is resized (a bug I suppose or whatever). So, basically, try to fix these types of bugs. Make sure that the lightbox smoothly adapts to the window/viewport’s size. There should a ‘very little’ gap between the image and the borders of the screen as that will make it look like a good lightbox.
2) Now, since the lightbox will adapt to the size of the window/screen, what if the image is very huge and needs more zooming in to be viewed properly?
For example, I have got a image of size 3000×3000 and it contains written tree diagrams and text, then the lightbox would display it as a say 1920×1080, so, it would not be readable! This is the main thing almost each and every lightbox creator forgot. So, I would recommend using your own mind (creativity) and adding some link or something to view the actual image itself (I mean the .jpg direct link) so that the user can zoom in and see the image clearly. I hope you are getting me. This is very helpful for mobile users especially. Or if you guys are great programmers, you might even figure out a way for the user to zoom in properly without leaving the page!I did not use your plugin long enough to think of more problems/deficiencies in the plugin, but first at least try to implement these two things.
3 stars is currently what your plugin deserves. Max to max 4 stars MAYBE.
Keep up the effort though!
And keep me posted! ??
