Thank you for the suggestion! But yes – we do have that column turned on and that works well for events with a very unique name, but it doesn’t help when there are numerous classes and activities with the same or similar name. We then have to look at the Start date, then look up whether the start date was a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc – to know which one was the one we want to click on. Not to mention some classes are held several times a day, at different times. So we’d have to find the Cardio class that is on a Monday and then check the start time – it just gets to be so tedious.
If there was a quick way from that back end admin Calendar view to get to the parent – that would make updating all of these a breeze instead of a frustration every single time.
Thank you – on our site everything seems to be working properly now!
Why is this thread marked RESOLVED? It is NOT resolved and I’m taking a lot of pounding from my client about this.
Here is the information you requested:
Please note – the following are just using ONE example of the issue, there are multiple events having the same issue.
- A screenshot of the event’s Repeat section in the event settings metabox.
- A screenshot of the Event Type settings (both in the Event->Types and on the edit page).
- A screenshot of the frontend calendar where the event should appear but is missing.
This calendar view shows ONLY fitness classes.
FEBRUARY:
MARCH & ONWARD – SHOWS NOWHERE:
This calendar view should show ALL event types:
FEBRUARY: Shows ONE date, the 16th (note the All Types calendar view does not show this date)
MARCH: SHOWS NO EVENTS OF ANY TYPE!
- The shortcode used for the affected calendar views. We have improved shortcode filtering
Shortcode for Fitness type only:
[em_events view=”month” types=”13″ disable_filter=”0″]
Shortcode for All Types:
[em_events view=”rows” upcoming=”1″ disable_filter=”0″ show=”32″ order=”asc” ]
- Confirm whether the new setting “Show Event Types on Calendar View” is enabled under EventPrime → Settings → Frontend View → Event Listing subtab.
Yes, it’s on:
OK – not sure how I didn’t realize this before but ALL of our events are GONE from the all types calendar from March onward!!!
Additional information. I just created a brand new event, Test Fitness, and put it in the Fitness type. I set it to start Sunday Feb 16th and repeat through the end of April.
It is not showing up at all on the calendar displaying just Fitness types.
On the calendar view of ALL types, it shows up on Feb 16th, but no dates after Feb 16th.
Is it possible for us to revert back to a previous version or will that break even more? Where can we get the previous version if that’s what we need to do?
This also isn’t helping me. It does show the correct Type in the admin list, but on the actual calendar views really bizarre things are happening. For instance – we have a calendar page for JUST fitness classes. After the update, our Aqua class still is not showing anywhere on the Fitness calendar (it’s set to repeat every Sunday through July). However on our ALL events calendar, that shows all Types, it’s showing up ONCE, on February 16th, but on no dates after that despite being scheduled through July. And it’s showing in the correct COLOR for the Type for Fitness, yet it just doesn’t show up at all on the calendar view for Fitness Types.
Please help – this is an extremely active website and we are getting hammered with people complaining!
More information – any NEW event we create gets set as FOR REVIEW ONLY, not the event type that we select under Types. So we aren’t even able to recreate these events to get them to show up on our calendar – because the new events we’re creating won’t display, either!

In reply to: [Max Mega Menu] Menu is broken after updateAdditional info – so, when I disable that CSS in the console it doesn’t completely fix the issue. So I’m hoping you can find the root problem.
The thing that’s not fixed with that CSS disabled is the 2nd dropdown under Products. That one, and only that one, shoots out to the left and is jumbled, whereas all of the others are fine.
So I’m hoping you have a better handle on what’s causing this issue. Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much – I didn’t realize about the event_filters, that’s great, thank you!
As for the pretty URL issue, that is excellent, never even looked at the SEO tab as this is a completely closed (residents only) website, so we do not need any SEO. One note I will make – you still may want to make note that in the default search of WordPress, the pretty URLs for events are returned even though I did not have them turned on. My guess is that is not how you want it to work, considering all of those links were broken. I presume this isn’t an issue for anyone who turns on pretty URLs, though, but still wanted to mention it.
We have over 1,500 events on our calendar now – I’m going to turn on Pretty URLs, but I am a little concerned it’s going to max the site and kick a server error. We have repeatedly ended up accidentally adding an event that gets published to the calendar 2,000 or 3,000 times, and when we try to edit that event to fix it, it maxes the server and we have to start again.
I should open another ticket for that — it happens if there’s any error in setting up Repeat — yesterday, we set up an event that was to occur every First Wednesday through January. The person creating the event chose First Wednesday in the Repeat but did NOT click a radio button – so neither radio button was selected – and it generated thousands of copies of the event on one single date. This has happened to us numerous times if there is the slightest thing set up wrong.
Just checking in on this one too – was also hoping that today’s release would include this. Is this still in the works?
Any update on this? I saw the new update today with “bug fixes” in the changelog, was hoping this was one of them. My client is on me daily about this, just want to provide them an update.
Thank you – that’s very helpful.
When I went into the Siteground cache to exclude the URLs, I first tested caching for a bunch of pages – including some of the ones to set as not cached (before I changed anything). Even though caching is set to on, they are all coming back as not cached. Even so, I added the UM pages to the exclude list, but not sure if this will help since it seems that they weren’t anyway. I will dig more into that, and see if the issue resolves – if you have any other thoughts, let me know.
As noted above, I DO have past events set to hidden.
All of the other calendar views are correct and do not show past events. It’s only the “type key” links at the bottom of the monthly calendar that are doing this. See this Loom showing the issue, please:
I do have caching turned on – hosting with SiteGround, using their caching.
I wondered if I should turn off caching for the login page – is this the issue?
Yes, I do have past events turned off. All other views of our calendar show only current and future events. It’s just the Type archives that show past.
Thanks for the style tip!
