Hm, may be this is why so many people are complaining that the plugin never picks up their tweets, because it isn’t looking for the right URLs.

Hey Joost – people are losing interest here! Any plans to improve the plugin? No point having over a million downloads if people are uninstalling ??

My tweets have finally been pulled in. So it looks like you need to give it a week or so.

I fixed it. wp_footer was being called twice in footer.php.

Does it take long to do this? Just wondering why this tweet hasn’t been picked up. I installed the plugin yesterday.

I seem to have fixed it by changing the Blog URI to https://www.beeston.me.uk/blog and removing blog from the permalink structure. But this is not what you’re told to do on ‘Giving WordPress Its Own Directory’.

I have set the WordPress URI to be https://www.beeston.me.uk/blog and the Blog URI to be https://www.beeston.me.uk. My index.php file is in the root and includes require('./blog/wp-blog-header.php');. I have an alias of Alias /blog /usr/share/wordpress in my Apache httpd.conf file.

I’ve read and re-read Giving WordPress Its Own Directory and I can’t see what I’ve done wrong.

I’ve fixed it with a 301 redirect, but the link is still wrong. If anyone has any ideas I’d like to hear them. Thanks.

I think we have crossed wires here. I understand that pages will be in the directory /blog. That’s fine, I want it that way. I’ve created a page called about, which exists at /blog/about. But the link to that page from index.php is just /about, not /blog/about. Hence it’s a broken link, and I don’t know how to fix it.

Why would this one work differently?

Well, that’s the question I’m asking. I’ve spent 3 or 4 hours going through my set-up and the pages on this site, and I’m stumped. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Yes, I did follow the guide, and the rest of the site works just fine.

If you have a quick look at my site, then the link to the one static page I have is https://www.beeston.me.uk/about , whereas it should be https://www.beeston.me.uk/blog/about . The page exists at /blog/about, so I just need to get it to link correctly. Capiche?

OK, not to worry. Thanks for your help anyway. I’ll just use a text editor instead.

I tried that, and a reinstall, but I’m suffering from the same problem. Any other ideas?
