    Cais,
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help in resolving my specific problems regarding NextGEN. Yesterday I installed the new update version 2.1.31 of the plugin and was able to create galleries for my albums using file names with and without spaces and all photos displayed properly. NOTE: I did not update WordPress to version 4.5 as you suggested because I noticed in the Details for the NextGEN plugin update that it is compatible up to WordPress version 4.4.2 (and not 4.5), and it requires version 4.0.0 or higher.

With regards to my problem of the text not displaying, you were right, it was not a problem with your plugin code. I had forgotten that, when our website was set up we needed a way to display text on the Gallery page above the photos so our developer added s small snipit of code in the NextGEN code that allowed us to introduce HTML code that would display as we required. Then, of course, when I updated the plugin, it overwrote that snipit of code so we had to add it back. I can provide you with more detail if you wish – just let me know.

If you would now like to see what the text on the Gallery page looks like, you can do so at: https://www.jazzartsfoundation.org/photo-gallery/jazz-at-the-library-photos/nggallery/jazz/JazzAtLibraryDB2016-03-10

I am gong to mark this topic as resolved now that our website is back displaying photos properly and we have determined how to keep the text we need displaying.
    Thank you again.

Cais, for your reference, here is the URL to the forum where my previous posts are prior to you asking me to open this new problem so that you could help with my specific 2 problems:

I forgot to mention that everything worked perfectly until I upgraded to version 2.1.26 of the NextGEN plugin – photos displayed properly in my galleries and the description text displayed.

    Photocrati,
I just noticed that all of our galleries created with NextGEN, even prior to version 2.1.26, are no longer displaying any of the HTML text that we create to describe the photos in our albums. Is this the “slug” that other posters have referred to? The photos are displaying in the Galleries, but none of the text. We even tested this today by creating a new gallery using no spaces in the name (ie: TestJAL_DB_2016-04-11) and adding the HTML text (<h2>Jazz at the Library – Concert #107 – Thursday, March 10, 2016</h2> <h3>The Michael Cruse Quintet</h3> Michael Cruse – trumpet
    Andrew Lin – saxophone
    Darren Benton – drums
    Jackson Steiger – keyboards
    Kevin McClellan – bass guitar

Click on an individual photo to view larger image. Click anywhere on the large
photo, or the “X” in upper right corner, to return to thumbnail images. While viewing
a slideshow, clicking an individual photo will immediately advance to the next one.). When we published the new gallery, the photos displayed but the text did not. Is there a work around for this with version 2.1.26? Does the re-release of 2.1.31 fix both this problem and the problem of the photos not displaying if spaces are used in the Gallery name? OR, do I need to revert back to version 2.1.23 in order for the text and the photos to display? Thank you.

Just as an update, yesterday I was able to create an album that did display the photos using the work around above by Capobis (THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting) which suggested using no spaces in the file name while creating the album. After creating it with no spaces in the file name, I went back and renamed the album with spaces and it now displays the photos as it should. To see this, you can go to the website in my previous post and look at the same album mentioned in the post.

Of course, we are all now waiting for a permanent fix to this bug/problem, but thankfully the workaround is an easy one and doesn’t involve the possibility of losing all the albums and galleries we have already created.

I am having the very same problem with version 2.1.26 after upgrading last week. When I try to open a gallery that was created I receive the message “no images were found”. I, like oudedaf would like to know if all my photos will be lost if I follow your instructions to roll back to the previous version? I do not want to lose all the albums and galleries that I have already created. Our website is at https://www.jazzartsfoundation.org and the gallery with the problem is on the Jazz at the Library Photos page and it titled “JazzAtLibrary DB 2016-03-10”.

Also, is the workaround found by Capobis a valid one? Can we create the album using a title without any spaces and it will then work as normal?
    Thank you.
