dun expect more from this place ??

it didn’t work as i forgot to include the page’s comments template under the metadata

I put these two tags in the loop <php comment_excerpt() ;> <php comment_author_IP() ;> to show recent comment and the auth. IP. But theres only the ip is shown. Not the comment. Where i am going wrong. I want to show the recent comment in my sidebar is there any other tag for doing that? I am trying to have my own wp 2.2 theme and i am just stuck here..
