In reply to: [WordPress Button Plugin MaxButtons] version 3.01 updated buttons missingThis one had me a bit worried but deactivating and reactivating fixed the issue. Would the Pro version have been affected by this too?

In reply to: [Floating Social Bar] Twitter sharing button loads incorrectlyNow I can’t get the Twitter button to work at all.
Absolutely, using the latest version of WordPress and the plugin. I think there still may be an issue with the way it hooks into the media manager interface from within a post where it extends the option to do playlist, etc. When I deactivate JW Player, the media manager becomes fully responsive again.

In reply to: [Facebook] Autopost to Facebook Pages not working after 2 hoursI’m trying it myself, will see what happens.
@sadbutmadlad I don’t think its a conflict with Yoast, I’m using it too and though I have major issues as well I don’t have that problem.

In reply to: Anticipating Transfer Dev Site to Live SiteI’m going to suggest you look into BackupBuddy, I have a few folks who say it has made test to live migrations much less painful, check it out at https://pluginbuddy.com/purchase/backupbuddy/

In reply to: W3 Cache blew out my adminThe quickest way to get you back and running I think would be to rename the w3 total cache folder in your plugins folder, just do an _1 to the end of the folder name and then give it a try.

In reply to: Relative/absolute URLs and developing a siteThis is a question that I know a lot of folks have been struggling with for a while now. I have heard really good things about the BackupBuddy plugin which claims to allow you to do just what he would like to do and do it relatively pain free. Can anyone vouch for this, I’m considering purchasing it and implementing it on my sites.
The dev version is $197 but you get several other plugins in the pack, plus you get unlimted use and auto upgrade on all of them. It’s hard to hate on that. Anyone have experience with it, you dont have to get the dev version but it could streamline your problem. They do have issues with some host such as Dreamhost though.

In reply to: Embed youtube does not workGoing to agree with ipstenu there, something is going on with the permissions in your environment. Check to see if you could embed a sample video from say vimeo, if you have the same issue then its definitely something internal.

In reply to: Embed youtube does not workThen it could possibly be a setting with your companies firewall or content management policies. Can you get to YouTube from your company, as in they aren’t blocking it? If you paste that code and its all plain text (no link) on its own line, with nothing around it but that code it should work like a charm.
Here’s a basic question that I hadn’t thought of till just now, the videos you are trying to display are “public” on youtube right? You don’t have them categorized as “unlisted” or “private”, because if you do then that is the problem since that breaks the embed functionality.

In reply to: Permalinks – only default works, tried everything!Hmmm, that is a tough one without being able to see it. If mod_rewrite is on, then this should be working. Activated any new plugins lately?

In reply to: Embed youtube does not work@ipstenu you are correct it can embed itself as a link which would cause it not to work, the text has to be plain text. As far as being an internet stranger, I’ll give you that but I try to be a helpful one. It’s just an offer to try to help someone who is having trouble with something that I have a lot of experience with. At this point, since I have been going back and forth trying to help them what reason would they have not to trust me. There is nothing I have to gain by doing anything to his site, I build sites for others, run several wordpress blogs, a pretty popular gaming and technology one I might add. I don’t understand why people always want to think the worst of people.
Anyway, trinakriae if you still are having issues I’ll continue to try and help you get it solved.
