ok so after getting absolutely no support on this issue and seeing that others also had a problem with this, I found my own solution by tweaking some code in the shortcodes.php and data.php

Thanks for the reply. It is a purchased childtheme, so I still need to modify it but don’t want to lose my edits if I need to update the childtheme later
