Forum: WordPress Mobile App
In reply to: Unable to Login into the iPhone Mobile AppCan you contact your web host and check to see if they’re blocking or otherwise limiting incoming and outgoing connections over XML-RPC?
The app uses this file to communicate with your site, but some hosts block connection requests to that file. When I run some tests on your site, it appears you may have some form of rate-limiting that will interfere with how the app works with your site. The app needs unlimited access to this file to be able to upload content to your site from the app.

In reply to: Unable to Login into the iPhone Mobile AppIt seems like there is a misbehaving bit of code somewhere on your site.
If you go here
https://whereispillmythoughts.com/xmlrpc.php … you’ll see a blank page, which suggests that some plugin, theme, or your wp-config.php file has conflicting code in the file. You are supposed to see a message saying “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.”?
?
This problem is similar to the “Headers already sent” problem. More information on that is here:

Can you check your wp-config.php file, theme files, and plugins for conflicting code?

Once you’ve fixed the code causing the blank page, your XML-RPC should look exactly like this:

In reply to: Upload failed message on text postsI tried to visit the?https://xmlrpcvalidator.blog?address listed in FAQ but it just says “Coming Soon”.
My apologies for any confusion. The troubleshooter site was moved so the correct URL is now https://xmlrpc.blog/.
That only seems to be the case with www. in front of the domain so I’ll get that checked out.
This needs to be resolved, otherwise uploading to the site address https://www.simonssite.com will not work.
In the meantime, try logging out of the app, and this time when you log in again, enter the address simonssite.com without thewww
subdomain and see if that helps.Forum: WordPress Mobile App
In reply to: App – image_default_link_type for LightboxI don’t think there are any plans for supporting this at the moment.
I have shared your feedback with the development team though: https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/issues/14658

In reply to: no attachment(s) created when uploading image(s) to a postI just tested this on the WordPress app version 23.4 and an attachment post was successfully created when I published a post with a photo.
Please be aware that attachment posts are not available in the mobile app and must be viewed from wp-admin.

In reply to: implement custom post typesThe best place to submit feature requests depends on which device you are using. There are different Github Issue Trackers for the WordPress iOS app?and?WordPress Android app.

In reply to: Wordfence + App Password + Self HostedIf you’re logging in through your site address and wp-admin login credentials, the WordPress app won’t be able to handle 2FA authentication. If you’d like to use the app with 2FA, the app can support that kind of login using WordPress.com. That connects to your site through Jetpack:?https://jetpack.com/support/sso/

In reply to: Media Not Uploading via the appThere are a number of reasons why media uploads would fail in the app. Try following these steps to troubleshoot upload issues:
- Check that your device has enough storage space available (we recommend at least 1GB of free space).
- Try uploading your media using a different internet connection. If your network isn’t stable, this can cause media uploads to fail.
- Contact your web host and check to see if they’re limiting incoming and outgoing connections over XML-RPC. The WordPress mobile apps use this file to communicate with your site, but some hosts limit connection requests to that file.
- Confirm that you can upload the same image or video from your site’s wp-admin > Media section. If this also fails, you can verify your Maximum upload file size listed at the bottom of the Upload New Media page to confirm if this needs to be increased.
To increase your upload file size, you’ll need to add code to your root .htaccess file or contact your host for assistance. - Check for any plugins that may be causing an issue. You can disable all plugins and try uploading media. If the issue doesn’t replicate, you can reactivate the plugins one at a time until the issue returns to narrow down the problematic plugins.

In reply to: Support for classic blocks on mobileThe classic editor has been permanently deprecated. WordPress contributors are now actively focusing their time on improving the block editor and making it as easy to use as possible.
However, from a web browser, you can still add the Classic block to your post or page. Then, you’ll be able to edit the Classic blocks through the app after they’ve been added via a browser.

In reply to: Trouble tapping text elements in WP app on AndroidThis has now been reported to our developers. Since you’re using a beta version, this issue will probably be fixed in the next stable version of the app.
You can follow the progress and know once the bug is patched here: https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-Android/issues/19161

In reply to: Cant loginAre you using your WordPress.com account login details or your site’s wp-admin login details?
Can you see if you can log in to your site with the same username and password at the following link?
https://remyvastgoed.com/wp-login.php
If you’re unable to log in, you can try resetting your password using this link, then sign in to the app:
https://remyvastgoed.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you’re having trouble logging in to your site on the web browser as well as on the app, you can reach out to your host (the company you pay to host your website) for assistance.
Forum: WordPress Mobile App
In reply to: Mobile App Isn’t WorkingThere is a security service on your site that is blocking XML-RPC. If you go to?https://hotmessmemoir.com/xmlrpc.php, you’ll see an error page with Cloudflare. Please check with your hosting provider to find out if they allow XML-RPC on your site.
Once that is resolved, see if you can connect to your site.
