In reply to: BlackmailOne thing I agree with ghe101library on is that this is not just spam as it was phrased as a threat do do actual harm to a website. Much like the protection racket where thugs go into a physical store or place of business and threaten violence if not paid, this is an attempt to extort. Whether their actual intent was to simply mar the image of another or not is of little consequence. The act itself is a crime because of the nature of the threat.
At this point, a lawful society such as ours deems that how punishment is meted out is a question for the authorities, not of the individual. Report it to the appropriate authorities if you feel that the threat is real and imminent. Then go on about your business.
Here’s an article outlining ways to report incidents to the proper authorities:
https://www.infohq.com/Computer/Spam/complain-illegal-email-spam-hackers.htmPlease note that I did not say that it was the fault of Conditional Widgets. This is merely an observation that the behavior only occurs when Firefox and Roboform were used in combination with WordPress and Conditional Widgets. I can’t say I tested all iterations, but I did test enough variables to narrow it down to that specific combination. No other implications are intended or implied.
With any other browser the condition does not present itself. And to be honest, I only use this plugin in a very limited fashion on a couple websites. Given that set of facts, I don’t plan to spend any more time debugging your program or Firefox or Roboform or WordPress.
Cheers!
No scheduling or syndication one. I tried deactivating all other plugins to test which might be interfering, but it still double posted with all other plugins off.
I’ve turned off the bbpress plugin for now. It will likely stay that way until I can either get time to dig into it further or find someone who know more about integrating it into the theme we use.
You probably need to update Shadowbox JS plugin. That solved it for me. The update is no longer in the WordPress repository. An explanation and download link can be found here.

In reply to: NGG Video Extend does not work in IEIn IE version 9, when I close the video using the “x” at bottom right, the video closes but leaves you at a blank black page. The window has to be refreshed to get the original page back. See
https://www.ambassadorguides.com/gallery/fishing-videos/Internet Explorer version 9.0.8112.16421 (32 bit) on Windows 7 (64 bit).
I don’t get similar behavior in Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.
Dean,
Sorry abut not getting back to this sooner. January was a very hectic month.I’m running WP 3.3.1, bbP 2.0.2, your plugin – bbP topics for posts 1.0. I’m using the latest version of the Atahualpa theme with the default templates of the bbPress plugin.
Here’s the link to the forum in question. I usually go in and delete one copy of the topic from a post, but I’ve left the two posts for the NeverDead review so you can see what I’m dealing with. I’m thinking this may be a template issue, but have yet to confirm that thought.
Correction: I used incorrect terms in previous post. Posts now generate two topics in the default forum.
Would be nice if, in admin interface, it could be switched to be disabled by default on posts / pages, then a select to be enabled on select ones. Or perhaps enabled only for a category. Trying to find something that can be used as Age Gate / Lock for viewing game trailers as required by the publisher.

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Auto updater/installer and server settingsThis question has to be one that many others are asking. I’d like to see at least some clue as to how the WordPress auto-update works so we can suss out some solutions.
I’m getting the same thing with a fresh install of WordPress 3.1 I’ve had to resort to just using the non-flash uploader.
tonyzeoli, I don’t understand where you are seeing this “Sites – Edit – Blog ID X” at? Are you talking about the the Site URL on the Settings -> General page?
