Resolved. I think assigning the Front page to the home page is what solved the issue.

Thank you for sharing the information and links. I did not even know that my version of Revolution Slider is out of date! Turns out that plugin does not provide automatic updates in the WP dashboard, unlike every other plugin I have ever used! I think this is an extremely irresponsible business practice on the part of ThemePunch and I will never recommend ThemePunch products to anyone.
