So, I’ve spent the entire morning updating from 0.5 to 1.0 (40 sites, mostly had to update by Deactivate>Delete>Add New to get 1.0 installed) and now there’s going to be another update to make it compatible? Shoot me now ??

Description: Backdoor used to remotely control server

How to eliminate this? I have several backups I can use to restore if needed.

Was able to login and found a new User I hadn’t created. Wiped that out. Re-installed Wordfence and changed admin password. Still can’t figure out how this happened and worried that it will happen again. Any assurances?

Just uninstalled 3/0/0/16 and then tried to install the package you linked to on your site. Here’s what I got:

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

Plugin install failed.

6 hours and 15 minutes later, still cannot update to 3.0.0.17 because of the above problem. Went up to Repository to download the new version from there. Guess what’s there for Download? Version 3.0.0.16 (the version I’m trying to “update” from.

Same problem here on a few different sites.

Same problem for me with 32 sites, running on several different hosts. Please patch.

Can you walk me through how to do that? Haven’t encountered this on the other sites I’ve used the plugin. Thanks for helping.
