I too deactivated the SpamKarma plugin, and this seems to have resolved the problem.

I’m seeing this too, with the difference that even when logged in as administrator when leaving a comment, the count remains at zero.

I forgot to say kudos to the team that got this version 1.5.1 out so easily! Thank you once again for such a great product. Any problems that I’ve experienced have been entirely of my own manufacture.

My upgrade to 1.5.1 went very well. I have one problem, and it may have preceeded the upgrade; my RSS feeds to FeedBurner do not work. I remember having trouble previously, and don’t know if I buggered something up. I’m working on it. Not that anyone actually subscribes to the feeds, mind you, I just like to know they are working.

I finally got around to putting phpMyAdmin up on my server and using it to look at my databases. I did not find anything wrong, but then again I’m not really sure what I was looking for.
The day before yesterday the “wierdness” began again, so I decided to simply back up the database and start over from scratch. I ended up completely removing WP 1.2.1 from the server, creating a new database, and installing WP 1.3alpha4. I’ll play around with this for a while & see what happens.

Hmmm. Stupid Issue. How do those happen? Haven’t seen that yet. Have to google it for more info. Think that might be it?
Oh! Did you mean…. Naaahh, you couldn’t have meant that…. As the old saying goes. “Ah ain’t stoopid, I’s jest ignant.” ??
Yeah, I didn’t think there would be any, but I was checking with my host co so I could eliminate the possibility of known infrastructure problems that may have been a factor.
I’ll be taking a look directly at the db tonight or tomorrow, after I get it backed up. Probably tomorrow morning.
    Thanks again for the feedback!

Update: I traded emails with my hosting providor about any known issues with the database server itself, and there have been none.

(heavy sigh…) I’m just not knowledgeable enough yet to figure out what I’m doing wrong with my installation & configuration. I’m going to remove pictorialis for now, & will probably try again when the new version comes out and is being actively supported. Hopefully, I’ll have learned a little more by then. From what I’ve seen so far, I love the app, & look forward to being able to get it up and running.

Yes, the faulty URL is the problem. For some reason the link is looking to /pictorialis/upload/filename.ext, but the direcory where the original files are located is actually /pictorialis/wp-admin/upload/filename.ext. I just can’t figure out in which file to look for whatever it is that needs correcting.

Yep. I posted my problem there the other day. I thought I might try here too. If it’s not appropriate for me to bring this question here, we can shut down this thread. ??

I was just about to ask the same question. Thanks for beating me to the punch.

    Thanks all…
I decided to try writing a new short post this morning, and…. it works! Whatever the problem was (is?) creating a new entry “fixed” it. Now, I wonder what caused this little problem, and might it come back to haunt me again?
