I have this problem too. I do not have any kind of “toggle button.” I have deactivated all plugins, and that did not make more icons appear. The theme is “Clear” by Solostream. I am ready to have all the bells-and-whistles this part of the wordpress working.

At least I finally got it back to just broken – now showing the “Database Update Required” – so what’s the real solution? All suggestions have failed. I am still locked out of my admin 27 hours later.

So we’re left with 3 – re-uploading all files and folders. What a relaxing day. Anyone taking bets on whether replacing the same files with the same files fixes the problem?

by re-uploading all files and folders. Can overwrite any tweaks. Face it. Up to 3.5.2 this has been a smooth running deal. Just look at all the folks in their respective individual threads popping up now with the same problemo.

Okay, I will do this. All of this? Or try one solution at a time? You realize the potential for damaging error has just been significantly increased. No question it is specific to my site for sure. That does not generate any less stress for me though.

Mee too. I am pretty sure the update caused the problem – don’t you think? Any update that locks up a site, in my opinion, is a bad update – and that’s what I have right now. I am getting the dreaded “Database Update Required

Yeah, I see nothing. I know nothing. I hear nothing. All I want to do is put this feature in a post. Looks like a premature e … launch … unless I am just plain ignorant, which is entirely possible.

I think we are talking about two different things – two different plugins. All I am saying is that I clicked through to the creator of the plugin looking for help, shown as https://www.grobekelle.de/ , and on that site are some rather “unusual” ads. If https://www.grobekelle.de/ is not you / your site, then we are not talking about the same thing, and I apologize for the misunderstanding.

https://www.grobekelle.de/ I didn’t dream this up, and I didn’t drag this out of thin air amigo. And it wasn’t an errant google search. Obviously there’s something wrong. I could care less. I just want this plugin to work again, and since it hasn’t been updated since June of 2010, should I assume it has a conflict of some kind – with twitter, twitpic or some other function?

I am just telling you what happened when I clicked through. Perhaps the link was hijacked? I’ll check the browser history and post the link here. To be absolutely accurate, the site the link goes to contains plenty of advertising for porn – not a direct link to porn. Does that hair split OK for you?
