NVM, fixed it. The activity-meta was not in my activity-content div, so I placed it where it originally is and everything works.

Hi,
No, the custom rules were written above all other rules, even above the #BEGIN WordPress line.
It was set to no, changing it to yes doesn’t solve the problem.
I can choose existing locations, but after publishing it shows “No location” again.
WordPress 4.2.2 and Events Manager 5.5.7.
No errors, it just doesn’t save it.
I am the admin so I have all rights, it shows on the user capability as well.

I don’t know if we’ll ever get an answer, but I’d love this too!
