Nice, thanks for taking the time to answer (and read through the first post!).

I will check the beta once i have some spare time, and see how it works.
From what you describe, this rewrite most likely takes care of the issue i encountered. Got to check it with custom cropped registered sizes, and see if their 2x resolution versions are cropped exactly the same.
Thanks for the time you invest in developing this plugin even further.
