Unfortunately the previous version of this plugin was no longer compliant with GDPR and required significant development in order to allow websites to scan and report cookies and adequately respond to their visitors’ consent preferences, in accordance with the law. While we don’t expect you to continue using Termly, we hope you take this into account with the new service that you choose.
Hello, sorry to hear about your experience.
Unfortunately the previous version of this plugin was no longer compliant with GDPR and requires significant development in order to allow websites to scan and report cookies and adequately respond to their visitors’ consent preferences, in accordance with the law. We do offer a free version for those who need a more approachable solution, however we do need to support the development and maintenance of this application.

In reply to: [Termly - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent Banner] Oh Dear!Hello, sorry to hear that you will be uninstalling the plugin. This new version was updated to include mandatory requirements by the GDPR and other legal jurisdictions to keep your business compliant. This includes reporting the cookies served by your site and their purposes, and blocking scripts that users opt out to receiving.
We offer the functionality required for compliance for free on our basic option, and charge for those who are looking for additional configuration. This funds the continued development of the plugin as well as research into the ever-changing legal industry.
