the plugin works for everyone else, just not for you.

FYI, it’s not just teracow. I’m having the same problem.

This issue is now fixed in version 1.4.3

I just updated to 1.4.3, and I’m still getting the “undefined” when trying to load the template in HTML view.
I logged out and logged back into my site, and I’m still getting the undefined when loading from HTML view.
It’s not working for me in spite of your update.
Anyone noticing a pattern here? japaalekhinllemos – the “developer” (and I use the term very loosely) clearly hasn’t understood one of the fundamental principles of software development – the software works when the user says it works – not when the developer (with their clearly delicate ego on the line) says it works. ??

In reply to: [Easy Content Templates] how do I add content???I mean come on, people create new WP sites in less than 5 minutes, I can do it, with ECT in it in about a minute.
Thanks, but I don’t need to figure it out because as mentioned, you were the only one who had this problem, not me, not anyone else. So good luck to you trying to save time without ECT. Looks like you need it more.
lol… good one, man… you’ve changed my whole outlook… ??
But, you know what took even less time than your 5 minutes? I installed Simple Content Templates in about 20 seconds. One minute later I had created a template, then created a post from my template. Without any errors. With the content I wanted… Which, of course, is what properly constructed and tested software should do.
So, for those of you out there who found this thread and who found “Easy Content Templates” something of a misnomer, check out a working alternative. ?? Even those of you who uninstalled it without bothering to leave a bad review (like I usually do).
You’ll also be able to avoid dealing with the developer for ECT with their underdeveloped customer-service and questionable software troubleshooting skills. ??

In reply to: [Easy Content Templates] how do I add content???can you setup a totally different WP site on your host and install the ECT plugin there and try if it works?
… eh? The ‘Microsoft Windows Fix‘ is something I (thankfully) don’t have to bother with anymore. ??
sorry – I’m looking for a plugin that will save me time… this one has taken up too much of my time already with zero results. I’m not going to build a whole new wordpress installation, databases, etc, just to test one plugin that doesn’t work.
Seems somewhat like constructing a new tower building right next to the current one because one of new elevators is broken. ??
Good luck and I hope you figure it out. ??

In reply to: [Easy Content Templates] how do I add content???Ah, so it’s not me then… lol… I just put some basic text-only, and found this problem. Sorry – I didn’t know if I needed shortcodes or something similar.
What should I check for next?

In reply to: [Easy Content Templates] how do I add content???no one else was experiencing this problem so it must be something specific to his site
I’m happy to check things if needed. ??
Also, (just to make sure that it’s not me entering the wrong content on a template), can you please provide here the content for a minimal, working template that I can copy-&-paste into Easy Content Templates?

In reply to: [Easy Content Templates] how do I add content???Just an update:
I just deactivated all plugins except for Easy Content Templates and iThemes Security. No change – still the same issue as before.

In reply to: [Easy Content Templates] how do I add content???Hi japaalekhinllemos, thank you for your super-fast response! ??
I’ve just noticed that you have a newer version available. I installed it and found no change – I have the same issue as before.
In Firefox (v34.0 for Ubuntu), I displayed the debugging window, then went to the console. Unfortunately, when I load the template into my new post, no errors are shown. .Net shows POSTS with 200 result codes, no CSS, JS, or Security errors are shown. I’ve checked my apache access and error logs – no problems are shown.
Hmmm… Should I start disabling plugins?
Also, are you asking to see the public side of the wordpress site that I’m having this problem on or the admin interface?
Thanks.
Hi all!,
I’ve resolved this. I was using an unstable Flash (beta) from Adobe for Firefox 8.0. Reverted back to the stable version and this WP plugin is now working correctly.
Cya! ??

In reply to: [WP SyntaxHighlighter] [Plugin: WP SyntaxHighlighter] theme 'randam' ?ummm, thanks! My toolbar was showing correctly anyway – I only meant to say that I found the “view source” feature useful as it meant I would not have to add additional code to do what your plugin does.
But your instruction is appreciated, nonetheless!

In reply to: [WP SyntaxHighlighter] [Plugin: WP SyntaxHighlighter] theme 'randam' ?thanks redcocker, confirmed!
btw: love the “view source” option when mouse-overing(?) the script! You’ve saved me having to make a button to do the same thing! ??
cya!
hiya redcocker,
yep, that’s fixed it. And if I’d looked at my post in HTML mode I would have seen the parameter ‘gutter:true‘ in the pre tag. [shrugs]
Thanks! ??
