Any luck?
That page is set up in the Settings, and it does return the proper results if for example I choose Credit Unions in the first dropdown, it will find the post with that tag, the post titled “Formation et qualités requises des administrateurs: outil d’auto-évaluation”.
But if I don’t choose anything in the dropdowns but put “Formation” as a search term in the text box, no results are found.
So I’m wondering if either the text search is broken, or it is searching some field that I’m not aware of. I would think that it would search the title of posts.
Also if I choose items in the dropdowns, results are found, but if I just put a word in the text box, it never finds anything, any idea why or can you specify what field(s) the text box would be trying to match against?

In reply to: [Advanced Custom Post Search] Incert a blank or have a reset button? The latest version does have an “include blank” option, maybe you have an older version.
It looks like the posts for all forms go to the page chosen under Advanced Post Search > Settings? I’d suggest for a future release that each form have the option of having its own results page.
It’s sort of working but my results page is breaking the template and showing a different form under the search results that I didn’t put in, any idea why?
Form:
https://governance.coop/en/resources-home/Results:
https://governance.coop/en/resources-search/Also if I just got to the results page directly, it shows Search Results, should it not check to see if anything was posted to the page? Not sure where the 1 result is coming from
It doesn’t, but even renaming the English page to resourcehome doesn’t solve the problem. Something is messed up but I don’t know how/where to troubleshoot. Is there a file somewhere that lists all permalinks that WP uses to resolve URLs?
The odd thing is it’s a multi-site and the French site works fine, there is a page called /resources/ that shows the archive for that post type, and pages like /fr/topictags/assessment/ work fine.
Hm yes there is a Page that has the permalink of /resources, I’ll try renaming that, thanks for the idea. I figured that since these pages have the /topictags/ url not /resources/ they wouldn’t conflict, but since topictags are a taxonomy of resources, maybe that’s an issue.
I went through all plugins and disabled one at a time, the only thing that made any difference was disabling the Q&A plugin, if I did this, then you no longer got redirected to the home page, you just sat on the /blog/topictags/leadership/ page, but it just showed the content from the home page. So not really progress but at least it tells me which plugin was doing the redirect. Not sure why though. I suspect maybe WordPress is not set to display archive pages for the custom post types or taxonomies, but I tried turning off and on Archive page settings for the custom post and it made no difference. The Taxonomy settings don’t seem to have an Archive page option.
To further clarify, I’ve got a custom post type called “resources”, then a custom taxonomy called “topictags” which has its “Attach to Post Type” set to “Resources” via the CPT UI plugin. The “topictags” Hierarchical setting is set to false, but I have tried changing that and it makes no different. I’ve tried going to the Settings – Permalinks page and saving to reset permalinks as well.

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] Event-O-Matic 2.3 FeaturesI was able to change the code to allow events of up to 14 days, can you point me to the hack to allow the widget to display X number of events for ALL venues? Not sure who would ever want to only show events for one venue. Not me anyway. ??

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] 2.5 feature requestOh also a calendar view would be cool, and maybe categories so that things in the calendar could be color-coded based on their category (we would have categories like music, theater, literature, dance etc.)

In reply to: [Event-O-Matic] [Plugin: Event-O-Matic] 2.5 feature requestGreat plugin, just installed it, looks good so far. Immediate thing I think would be great would be email notification of new events to approve, so that if we forget to check for new submissions every day there aren’t events sitting waiting to be approved for a long time. Some sort of captcha or email confirmation link would be nice as well to prevent people from spamming the submission form. Also ability to add some other fields and/or change the max. of 1000 characters. I imagine that can be changed by looking in the code. Perhaps the ability to upload an image directly in the event submission process rather than putting in a URL as well.
