See learn something new every day. I stand corrected.
So it boils down to:
Title Length
Hashtag Characters
@username Characters
Image Link
Actual LinkIt’s time for a URL shortener I guess to experiment.
Thank you.
So clearly then there no fix for this lol

If I tweet the same things manually, with the featured image it’s fine, so it’s not that.
I verify via the Twitter card verifier if there’s an issue – I’m not really adding an image as the card pulls the featured images.
If that’s not confusing lol
For clarity, here is what the Jetpack pane for the custom message looks like when I create a post:
That’s what I thought, but I do not see the custom message – which is probably half the problem. And I know I added one, I tagged someone and added hashtags.
This is what I see – I’ll carry this over to a new thread.
How do I access the custom message used in Publicize on a live post? It’s not visible.
I know this is an old post, but this is exactly what’s been happening to me.
No rhyme or reason – sometimes it will do it, sometimes it won’t.
It’s driving me nuts.

In reply to: header already sent index.php errorGot my install all straightened out.
Unfortunately for me, I needed to update my database first from MYSQL 4 to MYSQL5 in order to update WordPress first. Not really something I wanted to do today – lol
This hack originated through an old plugin that was no longer updated – for me it was KB Advanced RSS.
Make sure you either update, or re-upload several index.php file that are affected. If you can, go through FTP and check to see which files were updated by date to figure out what went wrong. I’d also do the same thing for plugins and delete them in order to log back into the admin panel.
Best of luck to everyone else!

In reply to: header already sent index.php errorLooks like this was some kind of hack to me.
I am seeing this too, won’t load in safari but loads on my iPhone. I can get as far as the admin page but it won’t load further.
I haven’t had the chance to update because my database needed updating (wordpress needed a higher mysql install than I had) – not sure when this occurred because I’ve not updated my site in a few days.
What concerns me is regarding plugins – my only current symptom that I can see is that my dashboard is having issues. I had no display on the right half of the dash and found several plugins that do not seem to be compatible.
The thing that irks me is that they are well known widely used plugins. For me these are the ones that do not seem to be compatible:
Google Analytics
Google XML Sitmaps
Twitter Tools
WP-polls
Add Meta
WPG2So obviously these plugins when used in conjunction to another one are affecting whatever new javascript is being used in the display of the admin panel.
I know I can downgrade without an issue, but it’s really frustrating.
Edit: After some tinkering, only when I activate these plugins do I experience an issue. I got a majority of the important plugins to work properly.

In reply to: 2.7 has borked my dashboardIf you have the WP-Sticky plugin installed, delete it from the plugin directory and your dashboard will show.
If you don’t have this plugin, delete your plugins one at a time and refresh. It could be from another incompatible plugin.

In reply to: Installed update but now wordress wont loadThank goodness for this thread.
I just upgraded and had a blank dashboard, deleted wp-sticky and it works fine now.
Good tip!

In reply to: 2.5 No longer sending comment email notificationIn previos versions of WP my comment email would come from [email protected] so I created a wordpress alias that forwards all the comment mail to my regular account on that domain.
My solution keeps all spam control intact and only requires an edit of your .htaccess file.
Just to be clear I am using no plugins that handle mail and have been trouble free since this fix. I require all of my comments be moderated, use Akismet and Bad Behavior so nothing slips through.

In reply to: 2.5 No longer sending comment email notificationWell mark this one as solved for me.
As you can see above I thought I remembered reading something about a particular problem on Mosso. I found it:
https://wiki.stabletransit.com/article.php?id=295
However, their .htaccess syntax is wrong and should read:
php_value mail.force_extra_parameters ‘-f [email protected]’
From everything I can gather, when WordPress sends out the php mail call, it’s a generic email address ([email protected]), in my case – it was [email protected] and being blacklisted as SPAM.
I did not try the above script alone, I also created a WordPress email alias on my domain that forwards to my regular email just to be on the safe side.
Maybe whoever is having issues, this can somehow help them in the interim.

In reply to: 2.5 No longer sending comment email notificationI am also on 2.6.2 and I am just noticing the same problem with the lack of comment notifications.
At first I thought it was because I changed servers, then I got a bunch of emails (10 hours late) and now nothing at all. I tried a bunch of smtp mail plugins to no avail and I am at a stand still.
From what I can gather, this problem has been intermittent since WP 2.5.
For what it’s worth, my host is Mosso and I think I remember reading something about this – but cannot remember.

In reply to: SimplePHPBlog import utilityJust another update – Will suggested I drop the database and start from scratch and it worked flawlessly this time.
I just need to figure out how to redirect all the old permalinks. He should be posting the new script anytime now, once he makes sure it’s 100% repaired.
