I have one plugin that I am waiting for the person to get back to me on to tell me why its kinda working and then I need to get the design the way I want it then I will move over from MT.

I think that is the same problem I am having. ” list configuration of links and categories”… The rest I can piece together… As I said, I was looking at Alex King’s “dots” and I can’t make heads or tails… Then again I know that in my MT index.php file, I have a <div> that is something like “lmenu” and “menu”. It works fine for when I use the style switcher for a two coloum layout because in the CSS for the two colum, there is no var for “lmenu” so I am able to use my index.php for every style.

Does anyone have the file to this? The site seems to be down. =(

I wanted to say that yea, I have looked at the Wiki quite a bit over the past few days. I;ve not been in the IRC channel.
One question however… I know that if I made some changes to the index.php, I might be able to get some things to look how I want them to… yet I have been reading that I should NOT make changes to index.php. Is this true?

Okay… well I didn’t have an upgrade, I just made it.
So I just created an my-hacks.php file. I am trying to get that lj-hacks to work… (the one that shows and links to LJ users) and I keep getting the following message:
Parse error: parse error in /home/tekwh0re/public_html/wp/my-hacks.php on line 2
Everything looks okay… this is the begining of my hacks file… if I can get it to work I am hoping to use more. I am running version 1.2
my file looks like this:

include_once('lj-macrofy.php');
add_filter('the_content', 'ljmacrofy');
?>

I can make post just fine… but I don’t get any options for what category the post should be in, even though I made a bunch of them.
For example, I have general, hidden, politics…
I go to make a post but I don’t get the options for general, hidden, politics, everything just defaults to general.

Ugh… I must be doing something wrong. Now I am getting errors again.
Though- I did notice something wierd. When I creat a post, none of the categories that I have the option to to put them in are showing up. Everything is going to general even though I have made other categories.

I just installed the new Word Press.
Is there a way to make this work in the newest version?

I’ll give it a gander however.
I am still in the process of trying to now find a 3 coloum layout I can modify. Soon, I hope I can go live with the new WP install.
