How do I share screenshots of the migration process itself? All I did was click GTIN Migration and it said Completed after a while?

@shahzeenfarooq I’ve stated that I’ve ran the GTIN Migration tool twice but no bueno.

I’ve tried your steps, and still nothing. 95% of variable products are synced without their GTIN.

Edit: Deactivated EAN Barcode Generator for WooCommerce, ran GTIN Migration and async all products but still nothing. Very few products are okay but the majority are slammed with Missing GTIN on GMC.

Hello @doublezed2 I’ve aready done the GTIN Migration a long time ago, and for good measure I did it again yesterday ( it says GTIN Migration: Completed) but I still see the error persisting on GMC. FYI I have EAN Barcode Generator for WooCommerce installed but I’ve deleted the attribute mapping to GTIN since it used to be a requirement for Google for WC to properly map GTIN and feed it to GMC.

So I wanted this to work automatically but apparently it’s not working as intended. Maybe I should revert back to mapping the custom attribute?

Hello @doublezed2 , so I went ahead and did an async of all products but checking the GMC I see some products having GTIN issues ”Missing required GTIN Limits visibility in 37 countries” despite having filled out the field on my woocommerce backend. Why is this happening? I didn’t have this issue when I used to have the GTIN mapped as an product attribute.

Thanks @mosesmedh , it was the latter. So all my products have a filled GTIN field. Where does one find the attribute to map it through the plugin?

We’ve been using the EAN Barcode Generator for WooCommerce: UPC, ISBN & GTIN Inventory plugin to assign the GTIN custom attribute, but since the “GTIN,?UPC,?EAN, or?ISBN” field?is auto picked up by Google then it’s good practice to remove the custom attribute?

Checking back to let you know that I managed to add the HTML tag and works properly now!

For future reference, for anyone facing the same issue, this is what worked for me via WordPress Backend (wp-admin):

1. Add the HTML Meta Tag:
   • Once logged in, navigate to Appearance > Theme File Editor.
   • Open the header.php file of the active theme for example.com.
   • Find the closing </head> tag.
   • Add the meta tag provided by Google Search Console before the </head> tag.
   Example:<meta name="google-site-verification" content="your-google-verification-code" />
2. Save the Changes:
   • After adding the meta tag, save the changes to the header.php file.
3. Verify in Google Search Console:
   • Return to Google Search Console and click the “Verify” button.

And despite disconnecting everything, revoking woocommerce rights on google and google merchant center and deleting the plugin itself and reinstalling, the issue still persists and it’s driving me nuts! Even disabled caching and still nothing works!!

Same here. I don’t understand why the devs aren’t reverting back to how it used to work like in 1.2.6

Thanks to Emanuel, the solution is this

1)delete the trp_original_strings table (via phpadmin) and regenerate it by going to Settings->TranslatePress->General tab and using the "Save changes" button.

2)Rerun the optization tool under Advanced tab
