Same thing happens.
BTW, Thanks for your support Renee, quick responses, and being on top of things. I appreciate it.
I had previously already set it up and verified it in search console.
I am using Roots Bedrock, https://roots.io/bedrock/, as the WordPress Boilerplate. It stores WordPress in a separate WP directory while storing other files such as the themes and plugins in an APP directory. If I removed the WP from the site URL it would break Bedrock. I have no known issues with other plugins.
Sorry, had another project come up. I just submitted everything to the form for the site.
1) We do not use the gsuite service. I have my account linked to Google Analytics, Google Optimize, and Google Tag Manager though. They all work fine with it.
2) This is my first time using Site Kit. Typically I will build a theme with a starter theme and add support for google products myself but did not have time for this as we needed to get the site up quick. We need Google Tag manager and other product support and I just used the default 2020 theme from wordpress in the mean time. Was hoping I could use the plugin to add the google product support I need.
3) The website is https://www.quantimet.com.

I think it is an issue with older IE’s conflicting with other jquery plugins because it doesn’t seem to do it in the default theme with all plugins disabled. Oh how I hate IE.
