Unfortunately my friend was busy so wasn’t able to test it last night. I’ll remind him again tonight.
I have asked a friend to try with his Mac – he will be able to do it when he gets home tonight. I’ll let you know how it works for him and how we can move forward.
Our Premium plugin comes with various types of indexes. If you look at our demo site https://wpdemo.getmecooking.com/categories/ you will see an ‘occasions’ section. You can add/edit/delete the categories there, so you could have ‘Birthday Recipes’.
It currently shows all of the blog posts that contain those recipes, we may later make it so you click on the category then it will list all of the recipes, before actually taking you to the blog posts.
I also have Safari 5.1.7, on Windows 8.
Are you using a Mac?
It definitely works for me.
I will ask a friend of mine who has a Mac to try printing it.
Thanks.
Paul
Hi Jaduski,
1) You can only print the recipe as it is shown on the page. If you want a larger image, you can set that here:
WordPress Dashboard | Settings | Media.
For the main recipe image, we use the values ‘Medium size’ (for the in-recipe image) and ‘Large size’ (the full-size image, when you click on it).
For the images used in the recipe steps, we use the ‘Thumbnail size’.
2) It works when I try it in Chrome and Safari. What issue/error do you get? Are you able to print recipes from our demo site? https://wpdemo.getmecooking.com/
Thanks.
Paul

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Changing Font and Colours in CSSHi Ambin,
All of the CSS properties will be inherited from your active WordPress theme. We do this in order to make the recipes look like they are naturally part of your blog.
As you know, you can over-ride any CSS property using https://www.getmecooking.com/recipe-template-info#settingsUseYourOwnStyling
> – Font-color of the heading and the subheadings
Either h2 (globally within .gmc-recipe) or these if you want different properties:
.gmc-recipe-subtitle
.gmc-step-list-title> – Font-Family: to Open Sans
Should go in .gmc-recipe> – Size of the Head-Picture (width to 500 or something like this)
See https://www.getmecooking.com/recipe-template-info#faqResizeImages> Am i allowed to submit my recipes to getmecooking in german language?
unfortunately we don’t support German on there yet. You can submit them, but we won’t approve them. We will later be adding a feature to store all of your recipes privately (so only you can see them) within https://www.getmecooking.com – and that will be the default for any recipes that you submit but aren’t made public.Pressing F12 on your keyboard from most browsers will bring up a debug mode, which helps investigate and experiment with CSS.
If you need any specific help with CSS in your environment, I suggest https://www.odesk.com/, https://fiverr.com/ or us https://www.getmecooking.com/recipe-plugin-consultancy.
Thanks.

Hi Anne,
Thank you very much for your donation and support! It really does mean a lot to us.
We have seen a very small number of people have the duplication issue – and despite lots of testing we have been unable to replicate it.
I will e-mail you now to discuss troubleshooting this.
Thanks.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Can't add recipe to postIt will be 1 of 2 things:
1) You have configured WordPress to show a summary of each post on the main pages, meaning that you have to click on the title in order to see the whole post.
Go to:
– WordPress Dashboard
– Settings
– Reading
– For each article in a feed, show = Summary (change this to ‘Full text’)2) The theme is overriding your settings. Try switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see how the standard configuration looks.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] More languagesHi Jayzzz,
Yes, we are in the process of adding more languages.
We haven’t added Arabic or other languages that are read from right to left yet, because we will need to spend time changing the visual design of the plugin (what is shown on the blog, as well as the administration pages).
If you would be happy to convert the plugin into Arabic for us (around 700 words/phrases), in return for a free copy of the premium version of the plugin (https://www.getmecooking.com/wordpress-recipe-plugin), please let us know, but e-mailing us (https://www.getmecooking.com/contact).
Thanks.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Get Me Cooking Icon is GoneHi,
This is caused by a JavaScript issue on your site, which is a result of a ‘broken’ plugin or theme. The GetMeCooking plugin uses JavaScript (as do many other plugins), so because JavaScript is broken, some functionality on the GetMeCooking plugin won’t work.
We haven’t published an update of the GetMeCooking plugin recently. Have you recently installed any plugins or changed your theme? If you have, please try disabling them and then test again.
Or change your theme to one of the default WordPress themes and disable all plugins except for the GetMeCooking plugin, then test to see if the GetMeCooking plugin works. If it does, then enable each of the other plugins and test, until you find the one that causes the GetMeCooking plugin to stop working.
If you need further assistance, please let me know your website address.
Thanks.
