In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Show recipe along with other blog postsNo problem, we like questions ??
To achieve what you are trying to do:
- Create the recipes
- Don’t include them in blog posts
- Insert a recipe index into a page (or side menu, or blog post) – note that this requires the premium version of our plugin https://www.getmecooking.com/wordpress-recipe-plugin
A latest post widget will display latest posts – using the above method doesn’t use posts. We do however offer a latest recipe menu (and slideshow) – see https://wpdemo.getmecooking.com/latest-recipes/ for an example.
Thanks.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Comments disabledOur plugin isn’t designed/coded to change the state of comments.
Please let me know the URL of one of your recipes so I can have a look. You might be linking directly to a recipe, instead of a blog post containing a recipe…?
Thanks.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] ingredients clickableHi Fabio,
Thank you for the kind comments. Using it on your blog is the highest praise we can have ??
We are planning to have the ability for users to click on an ingredient, which will then take the user to a custom URL – this will be the default option. The secondary option will be for it to display all recipes using that ingredient.
Thanks.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Transferring recipes from 1 site to anotherHi Tamara,
I am very sorry for the slow reply, I have had a very busy week.
I have done some testing and for me it works when I export and import ‘All content’, but not when I use the other (Recipe*) options. I don’t know why this is yet, but we will look into it.

Thank you for reporting this. It may be a bug with the most recent version of the plugin.
Kevin returns from holiday on 3rd January, so will look into it then.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Custom Image SizesHi Joseph,
No, we only use the WordPress defaults at the moment. We are not planning to add this functionality in the near future as we are working on other features.
Thanks.

In reply to: How to sell my plugin via an affiliate network?@wpguy206 Thanks, I have looked, but haven’t been able to find a good one, so I thought I’d ask here ??
@wpyogi No, it isn’t specifically (well it is, but it isn’t I guess). I thought it would be a good place to ask because hopefully other WordPress developers sell their plugins via affiliate networks. I’m hoping one of those developers will tell me how they did it ??
Please let me know if you know of a better place for me to ask – I have asked in multiple corners of the Internet already, but with no luck.

In reply to: [GetMeCooking Recipe Template] Unable to re-order recipe stepsHi Ada,
Unfortunately we had to remove that feature because it didn’t work on Apple Mac’s. It worked on PC’s running all browsers (including Safari), but not on Mac.
We investigated, but it wasn’t clear what the issue was. We plan to resolve it and re-implement it.
Thanks.
