Last I knew (We haven’t installed 3.0 yet with our clients) you had to turn it on as it defaulted to being off on newly created blogs. Have you turned it on?

iPower is a host. I think the poster is getting confused and looking at two different hosts here and thinking they’re the same.

Not sure if this is the same issue but it was using an out of date function call.

You may want to pass that error along to your host by the way. Not sure what you;re looking at when you say that php is configured correctly but you get that error when zlib isn’t compiled into php. That’s something your host will have to look into. Not sure what level of access you have to the server.

We use it also for public blogs that you want indexed by the search engines but don;t want them listed in any local lists or indexes. Like a FAQ or Help blog, an announcement blog, or something along those lines.

@mrmist too bad though that you removed the domains so now we can’t point folks here to let them know what to look for.

Someone care to return the domains in question but break the links please? That way others can read this thread and know what to look for?

I would love to see this as it covers the middle ground between completely open commenting and forcing visitors to create accounts simply to leave a comment.

Of course I’d love to see someone clean up WordPress Ideas as well, remove the spam, close out those idea already in the wp code or covered by plugins, etc. ??

They are now in the process of removing every post.

I await word from the poster on the forums that they hit. I have to admit though that I would be concerned if I had an employee or intern who didn’t understand that spam was bad.
