In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping not chargedSorry, I think shipping in WooCommerce is absolutely frustrating for variable products! , and variable products are especially nuts.
I set up a flat rate shipping zone called US Shippingtube. This means I have two flat rate shipping zones- one that its free shipping I use with coupons, and this one to use with shipping tubes.
But in the product, you don’t select a shipping zone- you specify a shipping class.
So, I ALSO have a shipping class with the same name- US Shippingtube. But there appears to be no way to connect the shipping class to the shipping zone.
But in the products table, you don’t specify a shipping zone- you specify a shipping class. So, if the shipping class isn’t connected to the correct shipping zone, that is the problem?
So, on the main product page, I specify the shipping class.
and then, in each variation, I had shipping set as “same as parent.” But maybe that is the problem?
So, I can set each variation to use the specific shipping class. But that is a lot of extra clicks just to get a product set up.
Extremely frustrating.
And, the pics in the documentation appear to be an older version of WooCommerce? My screens don’t appear as the documentation, and my WooCommerce is up to date. so, documentations that is visually different from the actual product just makes it more frustrating.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping not chargedYes! I have a flat rate shipping set up already! And on the product, I have that shipping specified.
Thanks. Yes, that fixed the issue.
Thanks for the additional clarification! I appreciate the excellent customer support and often will select one plugin over another because of the quality of the support.
While the idea about authenticated mail and junk makes perfect sense to me, I am less likely to use a plugin that requires a second plugin, andpotentially other costs. So, on a whim, I decided to try a different forms plugin, and without any SMTP plugin or purchased email, it sends email to my inbox just fine. You plugin is a far more advanced forms builder, and perhaps I’ll return to it if I need more advanced forms.
I resolve this question on my own. It was VERY simple. I just had to “use custom URL.”

THX for this info. I’m looking over these options for authenticated email. I also spoke to my hosting provider and can purchase an office 365 account through my provider. Can you confirm if WPForms can use that email account directly or if there is still a need for an SMTP plugin?
THX!!
Thanks but this doesn’t address my question at all.
I have two multi-site installs. One of them uses the same theme on all sites within the multi-site. I use a WP Zoom theme on this site. It works great.
On the other site, there are about a dozen themes installed, and different sites within the multi-site use different themes. Many of these are free hemes and some are premium themes. I haven’t encountered any issues here either.
Except, I’d like to keep track of what sites are using which themes. I just I can go in and check each one and make a list, but I was hoping there was some more automatic way to get this data.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Add on purchase is possible? Thanks Nancy! Doing this with a coupon code makes sense and I hadn’t actually thought of that, but I do know how to do coupons.
? Customer buys first product at the regular cost
? On the thank you page or in an email, they receive the discount coupon code to go in and make the next purchase. Then each sale has a shipping address (what I want)
I guess I was trying to think of a way to do it so that it all happened as one sale, instead of as multiple sales thinking that it would decrease the number of customers who just don’t follow through for the second sale.
Yes, that was super helpful.

In reply to: Running site shows a blank pageTHX, but I still get a blank page (in Safari) and a 500 error (in Chrome).
1) I disabled plugins as per the above info.
2) My active theme was TwentySixteen. Still a no go.I renamed it that fixed nothing. I re-downloaded the theme and uploaded via SFTP.
THX

In reply to: File Block Errorthe easywpguide.com looks like an awesome resource, but it doesn’t address my problem/question.
1) The file block works PERFECT if the file is uploaded to the media library independently, BEFORE creating a post or trying to use the File block. The error only exists, when you create a post, add a file block and choose “upload.” In this scenario, the saved post shows a broken link/ the download button doesn’t work.
It is essential to note that the file upload worked. The file does show up in the media library. however, the file block doesn’t properly link to it.
2) As per your instructions sheet, my WP experience doesn’t match what you say should happen. Specifically, in the additional settings area, I do not have the option for “Link to Media File.” My only option is “Link to URL.”
My version of WordPress is up to date.

In reply to: [LuckyWP Table of Contents] Not having luck with getting this set upThanks for the reply! I’d like a plugin that creates a TOC of all posts, rather than a TOC inside of one post. Or of all pages.
We use WordPress in multiple ways, but once of those ways is as a method to keep a student handbook. It would be awesome if a plugin would automatically generate a list of all posts in alpha order (rather than in creation order) that can be on the home page of a site.

In reply to: [LuckyWP Table of Contents] Not having luck with getting this set upI resolved the issue. 1) I was using too old of a theme. Updated to a newer theme and resolved the problem of using the contents block, and 2) This is a very cool plugin and works great, but not really what I’m looking for.
