Let me simplify this as I just took a break and put this old head on facing forward again.

All I am looking for is to have one primary site control registration and subscription payments for a few other WordPress sites without a user being able to get around the payment in some way that I could not even guess.

I got the idea while learning to use Infinite WP for plugins and updates. I have a lot of sites, folks, but am short on brains.

Well, thanks Denis, it works well now. Unfortunately they wanted money so I had to send them some. I will send you the bill, OK? ;0)

It still doesn’t work for me. I am using Chrome and it did work well about 5 months ago and then quit working. I finally got the requisite plugin on my Samsung Tab. If it is a localhost problem, I am running an iMac Retina 27″, I would have to know what to look for in Console and what code to enter to dump the cache. It is quite frustrating but the Samsung work around is fine for now. I can’t check my CleanTalk stats without using the Samsung. I am really surprised by this. I have dumped the Chrome browser cache 3 times back to 0 and it still won’t work. It happened in the wink of an eye when it quit working. A first for me. TCrowe

As I just launched the website I wanted to know my options for authorship by others. It is at :https://glenellentimes.com should you want to take a look at what I have thus far. I have Ultimate Member as the social hub for the site but am not married to that software by any means. I have BuddyPress on the Glen Ellen Blog and I still have not found what that can do as to contributors.

I will start out with the Contributor label and see how that goes.

I have tried continually. I get this error: Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you. I do have the premium service but I am getting notices that my subscription has lapsed. I don’t think that this is right but can’t get through to find out what gives. TCrowe

I think you know that I was grinning when I posted that. I have to say that I updated my Blogs today with v4.0 and am even more impressed with Word Press than I already was. It is a really meaningful thing to this old Vietnam vet to find such beautiful software that just keeps getting better. I am thinking that I would like to support WP in some capacity. I’ve seen a lot of stuff but am so pleased with the organization of the people that make all this happen.

I’m no IT guy, just a guy with a lot to say and I couldn’t do so without WP. I tried several softwares before I settled on WP. No need to mention them. It isn’t much that I have seen that gives me the happiness of the team that is WordPress. I don’t know anyone here but I just have to say thanks from an old vet.

Well, that is resolved and you and I were right. I think what I need to do is to launch at least 14 more Blogs and I will surely get one legitimate comment with that many. I guess I’m not in it for the money.

That is exactly what I feared. They all go to 404’s or gamer sites. And, you’re correct, they are all close to the mark and politely couched. Thank you so much. I believe a whole sale delete is in order and perhaps a few IP #’s blacklisted.

Now I know why I pay wordpress the big bucks! I have a few sites and it always took a lot longer to be known than what has occurred here and I started wondering how such good fortune had happened so suddenly. Great and meaningful paragraph my foot!
I had, at first, thought it was due to all the social media I attend. After a while even a pig finds water. (or, words to that affect)

OK, GREAT! Thank You Very Much!!! I thought so just couldn’t figure it out. I have to say that out of all the software I have been experimenting with the last few years that Word Press is extraordinary. Who ever put this together has been a boon to all of us who like to write and exchange ideas. I have tried SPIP.Status, Joomla, Xoops and Drupal and settled on Word Press just for this reason. The more I work with it the better it gets.

As of now it is not a static front page. There is a widget working on it. I looked to see if anything said that HTML code could be entered and either didn’t see it or didn’t understand where and how to paste it. I have not seen an editor which means I may have missed it or it is not in the theme I am using which is “pixel”.

Just really getting started and have a cursory knowledge of the format for WP. No expert here.

I just dumped the blog and started over all the wiser. I saved most of it with several copy/pastes and all is good. Thanks for the help!

This icon that was generated fits me to a T. If you got my email return to you then you have this already but I will cover my bases.

The log in will not accept my password or username. “Forgot my password” will not recognize my email address that I placed in my admin profile. I tried this several times. If I register as a new user that will do me no good as to admin. Tis came out of the blue. At first I would log in with un and pass and get to the “site admin” link. When clicked I was sent back to log in. After a period of trying that option quit also. Didi not mention this in the first support post. May be important for your understanding of the problem though.

Thanks for the quick response. I had just posted two articles and a repost on the blog so I am good for a couple days. I can always use text edit on my Mac and copy/paste while this issue is resolving. TCrowe
