Sorry Ron but I read your documentation and you specifi that we can apply the mapping on both installation:

In older versions of the domain mapping system, you had to use a subdomain installation and wildcard DNS for domain mapping to work. This is no longer the case, domain mapping works just fine with subdirectories. ?
