Excellent Andrew. That does what I wanted. Will this be maintained as I create new pages?

I should have said that I created a static front page.

I did that.
Now the header image is gone from all but the Sculpture page, which is what you sometimes call the Blog page. I want it to be on the home page only, and not on the blog page . Is that possible?

I think that’s what was there when I created the CT.

I am getting this error message, probably because I previously tried to edit the functions.php file in the Child Theme before and probably didn’t leave it as I had found it:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in D:\Hosting\11633364\html\wp-content\themes\twentytwelve-child\functions.php on line 1

I have copied the header.php file from the parent theme into the Child Theme directory and replaced the code with the code from the top box of the PasteBin page.

I still can’t get the header image on the home page only. I am in twenty twelve and I have set up a child theme. I tried adding the above code to the style.css in the child theme but the image still appears on every page. Here is one of my inner pages:

I want to remove the header image from all but the home page so I can have images on the inner pages.
Am I missing something?
