I too have the same need.
For example, I would like to have one page for Video casts and on that page have a filter set in the content area to say “video casts”.
Then from an editors/clients point of view all he/she would need to do is create a normal post and set the categorie to “video casts”.
Due to the filtering in place, the post entry would be displayed on the correct page and not where ever posts are enabled.
Is that near what you are tring to achieve?
