@weblizar – if the new method is to use hashtags instead of proper naming won’t that affect the SEO in a way? Surely proper link naming is optimizing SEO

@weblizar – okay… I have set the menu’s up differently, so now the parent menu is an ‘inactive’ button with the Sub-Menus below. This was the only way I could get around it.

@logeshwarrior – did you manage to come right? I don’t quite understand what @weblizar is saying….

Does it mean I cannot have lists below my parent menu?

Got no response – what I ended up doing is editing the default.css and bootstrap.css and uploading that into the theme.

I was not able to do it any other way.

Decreasing the font size I can do, but that will not make the links darker.
I figured it out though.

Had to make a change to the Default.css

Was my only option.

Copy the parent header.php file into a plain text editor on your machine. Add your modifications and then save the file. Upload it to the child theme using FTP (or whatever file management application your host provides).

You need access to your Control Panel ??

When you create your child theme, and you add the style.css your folder in your Site CP, you need to also import the header.php. If you have done so and it still defaults to the original theme where the Parent theme is overriding the Child theme there may be another issue in your child theme present.

I found the header color changes in the CSS

You need to find the color in the Header Section and apply the correct color code there…but make sure its your child theme and not the parent theme :O)

Edit the below and let me know if you manage to change it.
