In reply to: ob_start() errorYes, all plugins are disabled. The field in the DB where “activeplugins” are kept say “a:0{}” or something similar, so it seems nothing is activated.

In reply to: ob_start() errorI spoke too soon. The error still exists. AARRGGHH!!
I was sure you had found the problem.

In reply to: ob_start() errorI figured out what it was. Your comment led me right to it. In the DB, there were some plugins listed as activated even though they are no longer installed nor used.
So, I edited that info to reflect the plugins that are actually there and it seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks Ming! I owe you one.

In reply to: ob_start() errorNow I’m just pestering, but nothing I have tried can even change this, much less fix it.
Please help.

In reply to: ob_start() errorStill no ideas, eh?
Even with the line number, I can’t pin down the cause of the error. I’m not even sure when the ob_gzhandler is invoked.

In reply to: Strange ob_handler error.Has anyone had a chance to check this out? Like I said, it’s not hurting any functionality as far as I can tell, but it is ugly and annoying.

In reply to: SQL ImporterHate to doublepost, but it bears the bump. This has already been done by Fahim of https://www.farook.org . Here’s his thread with links to the script and such. The only thing I noticed is that it does not create title slugs, so comments links don’t work that well if you are using friendly URLs. I may try to fix that and see what he thinks. Gotta sleep for now.

In reply to: CSS doesn’t display in FirefoxWell, I submitted the bug to Mozilla and this is what they had to say:
“Sorry, but it is a mime type error on your server. You’re serving the CSS as text/html.
In standards rendering modes (with DOCTYPE), Mozilla will ignore the CSS because the mime type is wrong. In quirks rendering modes (no DOCTYPE), it will let you get away with it for compatibilty with older web sites.”
So, I guess the problem is on the server. Bizarre. None of my other sites display this issue. Back to my host I go.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: CSS doesn’t display in FirefoxThanks dean! I don’t think that is the issue here, but it’s good to know.
My host is looking at the problem now. They seem to think it’s a server config issue and are just trying to track it down now.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: CSS doesn’t display in FirefoxThe mime configurations should be the same, but I will double-check with the server admin to be sure. Both of those accounts are just child accounts of a main account I have on the server. They were created by me in the same way.
I will check the mime configurations now.
Thanks for the help!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: MT import issuesPlease excuse this post. I have already posted this topic, but followed an old bookmark and it was reposted. Strange.

In reply to: MT import issuesI checked the database and there is still only the one original test record. I don’t think it’s a time out problem because the browser seems to think that it has gotten all the data is going to get. It’s not still connecting or thinking or anything. It reports the page as done, though all that’s there is the HTML up to the end of the logo div.
I would be glad to set someone up with a user if they want to take a look. I would appreciate the help.
