Hi,
I have the same problem:

my most viewed page is now …/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron

I read the posts re cron here and the ones on the suggested links…
But I can’t understand any of it.

Is it necesary?

How can I either turn it off, stop it, delete it, or stop growing and registering as page visits?

How would I do it?

The browser opens a page completly blank but for the text above.
What I posted is the result of trying to navigate to install.php after the fresh installation. trying to open the blog address I get an error announcement.

After the attempt to upgrade the previous one, something opens showing a heading and some posts but it displays an fatal error at the bottom of the page and that’s it. I didn’t copy the line. It was also someting about a fatal error and some missing function, I think.

Stuck both ways!

I looked at the linked page and it let dizzy!
I’m not entirely sure how to do it or where to place the code.
I guess that I need to include some php code… but where?
My main or top page has just index html an a .htaccess file. The one that is put in place there has html and an XML file. No php anywhere
Maybe a php file needed there, but I have no clue how or what it shuld say and do.
I though it will be a kind of widget that can be inserted in the page html and display the blog last post. Is this possible.

No, I never got any answers unfortunately.
I had to re-load the entire wordpress. Now it’s working but with some glitches: I can’t enable statistics and if I do the links to the mp3 files are broken, rendering the whole thing useless.
Anyone? Any hints of what may be causing the problem?
