The point is I’ve been hit a few times and I have been a few times over those guides and security measures.
This time I’ve only set up WP fresh, add most of the recomended security measures, left it there and after a couple of months it’s infected again.
I have not accessed nor has anyone else. I did call my hosting provider that says they don’t have news of any virus in the system or strange activity no similar reports.
And I don’t understand.
The consequence is that now I either don’t understand something thats happening everytime I re-install WordPress, or I can’t trust my service provider (Fusion-Myserverworld.net)or I can’t trust WordPress. ??

I don’t know if this information will be of anyone’s help, but here’s what I gathered so far:

Just to be sure, when in the recommendations for file permissions, when it says “all files should be writable only by your user account” whqt’s the equivalent number (like 664 or 750…) thanks.

BTW, I have the latest Norton antivirus products always installed an running and also the microsoft security essentials and I open spyware doctor regularly from time to time and brush through the whole computer. To upload I use filezilla and only two computers access the website, this one and a mac.
Can I infected the website through filezilla on the windows computer or the mac? Is it likely? I can’t understand that with all this security plus all the toughest recommended plug-ins and still getting hacked!

Esmi, I’m prepared now to take everything down and do a fresh start, fres new install deleting all old files and database. Can a backdoor survive that?

But another development… I found code 64 all over the files and I think I need to do a new install and read all the hacked posts.
It happened once and I cleaned it up well.. got two antivirus programs on my computer and yet!!

I just noticed there is base 64 code all over! Again!!
I did a fresh reinstall after an attack about 8-9 months ago and everything was fine untill recently. If you are there (and can and want to answer) have they been new attacks lately on new upgrades 3.0 3.0.1?
I did a completly fresh install!!!! and used all the preventive plugins recommended! I can’t believe it!

I manually upgraded and after uploading wp-admin and wp-includes as per instructions all I get is:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WP_Http in /…/wp-includes/class-http.php on line 39

Then tied uploadoing a copy from my computer of the server files done three or four montss ago and I still get same fatal error.

Any suggestion about how to or what to look for to try recovering my pages.

I have to experiment a bit with all this. I’m not very proficient with code and wordpress or blogs for that matter and was fishing for oppinions about what I want to acomplish.
RSS-Shortcode looks very good and simple. I wonder if it can display the whole post rather than the link to it. I’ll read a bit more in depth about it and print here just in case it helps someone else.

Maybe my question here should have been brocken into two: how to publish the last post in a different blog on your current blog and is it the best way to do it having two blogs installed.

is there an easy way to do that? Capture the last post in one blog and pun on a sticky on another.

after a quick of feedwordpress, it seems it will enable me to keep the feeds of my actual blog and the new one separated. But I’m not sue if this is what you use to capture post from one blog and post as sticky on the other. Do ou think it can do that?
