I found out this was because the Pardot plugin has a dependency on the PHP-XML module which it doesn’t test for but just fails silently.

I thought it might be that. I’ll do that

I’ve not had a chance to test it yet as I found the plugin was bringing my server to its knees so I’ve had to spend some time moving the site.

The issue was that I was (I quote from the hosting company) “…hitting this page, https://[domain name.com]/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp2static – Which then makes a GET request to ‘/wp-content/uploads/WP-STATIC-PROGRESS.txt?cacheBuster=*’ every few seconds”

The end result was maxing out the server CPU/RAM.

Once I get this up and running on a new box I’ll come to confirm if the issue is resolved.

Apologies I just wasn’t reading the page properly.

Maybe it would be clearer to users (like me) who don’t read the text properly if the form wasn’t represented?
