I cannot change the tilde unfortunately, this is how I access my space on the university’s server. Looks like byorgey fixed it the hard way, though, and he has a tilde as well
I tried changing permalinks back and forth, too.

I do have functions.php files in my theme folder, I was going to ask where should I add the line, at the beginning, at the end, etc.

PS Any hint on the other problem, in the admin panel (comments section) clicking on “next comments” send me back to the admin panel?

I have a similar problem and I tried to find an answer with no success; the next/previous links introduce a duplicated domain in the link. It seems that byorgey got to the core of the problem. I tried to follow his/her suggestion but with no success – I do not know what to edit in wp-settings file.
I’d appreciate any help. I can post/send the content of my wp-settings file if needed. Thanks

In likul ala zice ceva de un php file in a theme – cum spusei nu e theme specific, se intampla in trei bloguri, in toate temele.

…I say it sucks because I did my homework, I searched the forum first, and I found tens of questions on thsi topic unanswered.
I know, I’ll be told that I get a fee product, why do I whine, well, I say it’s not professional regardless payed or free.

no wonder some other guy was yelling with CAPS in some other post. Sorry to say, wordpress is great but the support sucks.
PS and I realized that I have more problems, one is that the next/previous thing happens on all blogs on my server, and second, on admin panel I cannot see the comments – if I try to go to second page, I am sent to the main panel every time.

What particular settings should I describe?

I have the same problem as avallario, the next/previous links show a duplicated domain. It happens in all themes that use next/previous.
Any ideas?
(I use wordpress 2.3)

I reopen this topic because I encountered the same problem. In my case, the problem seemed to have been produced by me installing Dean’s FCKEditor For WordPress; I just wanted to try it to see the differences. However, after deactivating it I noticed that tinyMCE doesn’t work anymore (same like in Psypha’s case). I reuploaded the wp-admin and wp-includes files – same problem. Actually I just updated from 2.1 to 2.1.1 following the instructions (deleted all files except wp-content and so, uploaded the new files, run the upgrade etc) and, to my surprise, tinyMCE still doesn’t work.. I miss it because Anarchy Media Player, for example, works only with tinyMCE.
Anything I can do/check/etc?

this is very useful, indeed, but how can I reorder the posts in only one category? I have a category which is a kind of old diary (I am transcribing and old diary actually), and I would like, in this category only, the posts to be ordered older first
