  • This is tagged as resolved but it is not. I just upgraded to WordPress 5.0.3. I then updated several plugins including the-events-calendar. My site immediately went into maintenance mode and never came out. I had to get support to fix it for me. Finally I deleted the-events-calendar and things went back to normal minus my calendar. Verified that there is no the-events-calendar directory in the plugins folder. I then decided to try installing again from the WordPress dashboard. This fails. So then I went to www.remarpro.com and downloaded the the-events-calendar.4.8.0.1.zip file and tried to install it manually. It reports that the link has expired ??????????. Something is still broken. I did look through the code when I only had it disabled I found a strange misspelling: It looks like they misspelled the directory “the-events-calendar.disabled” as “the-events-calendar.disabledd”
