  • So, to follow up on my previous similar problem…I switched to WPML as my translation plugin for Rise and their customer support is so good they taught me everything I needed to get hidden strings to show up. Other “string finders” couldn’t find my Home Hero text (the text that appears over the main image on the home page), which is part of the admin strings. I ended up using a FTP application and an additional plugin to make a wpml-config.xml file in my root folder, that specified which strings to use. Sounds complicated, but WPML customer support told me everything I needed to know and it took about an hour once I had that info. Perhaps Polylang has a similar type of config file possibility? Or, switch to WPML. They offer their services free for tax-exempt organizations, in case that is relevant.

The Polylang documentation does say that Loco Translate is a plugin that should be able to extract all strings, but I am still figuring out how to do that. Just posting here in case it helps you. I know…many months late…

I have this problem with the Rise Pro theme. Very frustrating, as of course the Home Hero is the first thing people see. How to have it translated?

I have this problem with the theme Rise Pro. In the section to translate strings, Polylang does not include the “Home Hero” text that appears over the photo on my homepage.
