Actually, I looked at it a bit closer. I updated Media Folder and de-activated everything else. It worked fine. Then I proceeded to activate each one to pinpoint an error.

Then I found one with a gallery plugin I use. Back to the same problem with Smush It.

Thoughts on this? I’m not sure if it was an older version of Media Folder that caused the conflict as well, but that’s what I have so far to report.

Thoughts on how to fix this?

Found the issue.
If I de-activated my WP Media Folder plugin, bulk smushing works fine (albeit very slow).

What to do now? I can’t very well keep that plug in de-activated for Smush to work.

Also, what if my Masterslider plugin came with the theme I purchased?

I understand. How do you know that I’m using Masterslider Pro based only by my question asked?

lol Yeah…no kidding. I think because this has turned into a big confusing gig, is to just fix the stupid little plugin that is causing the conflict with WC. But as it goes, the devs are not responding. ??

That’s about all I can think of doing at this point.

Right…and I remember. I DLed all the plugins and searched anything with ‘auto” in it and came up with only two plugins that fit that has anything close to updating…an image gallery plugin and Ultimate Visual Composer AddOns plugin.

What do I exactly look for in those php files that *could* be the culprit in this case?

But Mike, how come nothing else auto updates except WC? I’ve got plugins sitting right now in my backend that needs updating…and they never do that by themselves.

Thanks for the link as I did scan through that from the previous thread I started.

Unfortunately, those files (wp-config.php and functions.php in both theme and child-theme folders) lacked any sort of auto update filters. I asked my theme devs about it and they looked at me as I was from Mars or something.

I really don’t know where to look for this one Mike. It’s driving me crazy.

I am the admin user…and I’m pretty confused how it happens with just the WC plugin and nothing else?
I’ve left plenty of plugins outdated and they never auto-update on me. In fact, I have some sitting there right now in the backend that needs updating.

Thoughts on this?

Possibly. Most of the time during development, I’m bouncing between carts, product pages, dashboards, and login forms! lol

Incidentally, not sure if this is WC update related but it’s awfully coincidental that I’m having to constantly login in…even on a page that I was recently logged in on…expiring way too soon. It was once that I would login and it would stay that way until I logged out.

Not now.

Yes I figured that out once I reverted back to 2.5.5 WC. I still got the same errors as before BUT I got my tabs back. ??

That was the important thing to me.

Update: Found out that the above mentioned plugin is integrated with my theme. So chances are, that is the root of my problem.

They will have an update in about a week so in the meantime, I’m going to revert back to an older WC version. Should be just fine.
