I had the same problem. It was quite hard to debug, but I’m glad to find this post.
Thank you for the exclude solution, this avoids the issue.

Also I think saens and all the online marketers would be happy with a solution that could serve UTM parametered urls from cache, because we use them for all the paid traffic (80%) to our website.

As you see, when such a newsletter goes out announcing a new color/pattern, users expect to see that special variation. Also when a newsletter gets launched the expected traffic is high, so it would be nice to serve those variation selected request from cache, not just the naked url. Of course the UTM part is different for every click, so it not should be cached. This would be the ideal border of cache: https://prntscr.com/uuyj50

Now we have to choose between caching or proper measurements.
So this is our problem, I’m not sure if this can be achived somehow, but hope so, and would pay for it too ??

Hello!

Its’ ok to be different in case of UTM parameters, these versions are limited. But if they can be served from the identical version, it’s also good because we refresh issueValue after pageload by JS/ajax as well.

Thats why I was thinking about turning this ON:

..but I’m affraid it would cache the unlimited number of unique gclid & fbclid parameters as well. Or not?

Update:
I found a workaround. In my case I just wanted to hide UM pages from public to “Members only”.

Maybe it’s enough for you as well:
1. Navigate Settings -> Access/Privacy -> Restriction Content
2. Check “Restricted Access to Posts” & Select Pages
3. Navigate to your Pages and setup restriction to “Loged in users only” one-by-one

I’m using multi domain setup with CloudFlare CDN like this:
EN: evergreendent.de (now I can just connect & purge on CloudFlare this one domain only)
DE: evergreendent.co.uk
HU: evergreendent.hu
FR: evergreendent.fr
…

I would definitely buy premium if it would purge the right domain’s cache (or all of my domain inside CloudFlare account)
