Integration is not necessary but my understanding was that there would be performance issues with PHP on IIS. Would there be a noticeable difference?

fwiw, i’d love to see a plugin specifically for static pages. this functionality would allow me to use wordpress as a simple but real cms instead of just a blogging tool.

i’m new here so forgive my ignorance but are the items on the “to do” list specifically for 1.2 (which leads me to believe they have a LONG way to go before it’s released) or is it just a running list of things that may happen anytime in the future? my decision to move to wp from mt hinges on the multiple blog issue so i’d like to know if this will be included in 1.2 (without multiple installs).
and is there a thread regarding the ETA on 1.2 release? i can’t seem to find it anywhere – i just see the usual “it’ll be done when its done” type of response. i’m considering moving to wp for some of my new and redesign projects and am wondering if i should try to push back the dates so i can build on 1.2 from from the start.
