In reply to: Help Ultimate Blog Security Broke my siteI backed up my DB. Then, I deactivated and deleted all the plugin, installed WP 3.3.1 again. I still had the problem. Also, it is affecting my other blogs. I used to be able to copy an email and keep the same formatting onto my posts or pages. Now, it all is pasted as plain text. I deleted the entire directory, installed WP again, pointing it to the same DB, but I still have the same issues. Any ideas? I emailed UBS and they said they had a way to undo the “fixes”, I have not found any place where I can undo them. Hopefully, they’ll tell me how. Thanks.

In reply to: Help Ultimate Blog Security Broke my siteNo, I don’t receive an error message. When I upload pictures, they do not load. I have to use NexGen Gallery to get them uploaded. I think I can backup the database somewhere in the hosted account. I use Fatcow.

In reply to: Help Ultimate Blog Security Broke my siteThank you for suggestions. Deactivating the plugins did not fix the problem. I tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme as well and that did not solve the problem. I checked the .htaccess file and the one on the server is the same as the one I had on my local drive. Unfortunately, I cannot upload what I have on my local drive, as it does not have my latest posts. I am really at a loss. I don’t know PHP, so I don’t know how I can save my posts. I know they’re stored in the wp_posts file that accessible through MySQL, but I don’t know how to back them up from there. HELP!

In reply to: Trouble Logging In TodaySam,
If you have Filezilla, use it to show you your files on the server. You will find one titled .htaccess. Make sure that you are in your WordPress directory. Right click on the file and select rename. Rename it something else. One caution, after you are done using Filezilla, clear out your password and username. Otherwise, you are wide open for anyone to access your account. Then, reset the password you use to log into your server. I hope this helps. Filezilla is a free program.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem Log-out with WordPressI don’t host with iPower or iPage. I use Fatcow and I have the same problem. But once I change it to true, I can log out. It is just a pain to have to keep doing that each time I log out.

In reply to: Trouble Logging In TodayI too am having the same problem. Delete the browsing history and the cookies does not work. However, if I change this https://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=logout&_wpnonce=c788b0a6cf to https://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=logout=true, that logs me out. I have looked to see if anyone has changed the wp-login.php file to fix this but have not found anything.

In reply to: Problem Log-out with WordPressI was having the same problem. I just installed WP and am running Windows 7 and Firefox. I checked the other posts and found one reply where the person said to try logging out using this https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?loggedout=true. I typed in my browser bar, of course I changed yourdomain to my domain’s name, It worked like a charm. Clearing out the cookies did not work. I wonder if this could be changed on the php page that handles the logout. I am not too familiar with php, but if one of you php gurus can modify the php logout script and post it that would be great.
