Does seem like a hosting issue. With regards to your site not “showing up in searches”. A good thing to check for is to if Indexing is enabled in WordPress Dashboard. To check this, in your WordPress Dashboard go to Settings> Reading. Then make sure the “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” is UNCHECKED.
