In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] WatermarkHi Donacage,
Once uploaded, you need to let the processor re-thumbnail all your images. If you are not running the processor automatically via your system’s control panel (cron job) you will have to manually keep refreshing it many, many times for it to go through all your images.

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] WatermarkHi Donacage,
Please try refreshing your browser and/or clearing the cache after you upload the new watermark.
Hey ziomik – we missed this as it was still marked as resolved.
I checked out your site and am able to see some images there – are you still having the same issue?

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Apply to existing galleries.Hey Moses,
Well, we can’t create an import interface for a large number of 3rd party plugins because we simply don’t have the manpower to do that, so unfortunately I think there would be no way to move your content to Symbiostock maintaining database records.
However, Symbiostock populates the most important fields using EXIF data stored in images, so if you already have titles and descriptions saved within the images, and these are the main fields you use, importing them into Symbiostock is as easy as uploading them or moving them into the processing directory.
Symbiostock does have global settings – after your licensing is all set up, the system automatically does everything, including publishing and pricing, so you would literally just have to upload images via FTP or the web interface and Symbiostock would do the rest.
So for new images, it’s very streamlined. For importing from 3rd party systems, it gets more complicated.
If Symbiostock is disabled and it still does not work then it has nothing to do with Symbiostock. Once disabled, nothing remains active from the plugin in the WP interface. When you disable the personalize interface, if your other plugin still does not work then I’m not sure what to suggest.
If you disable Symbiostock, are you able to use it on base woocommerce products?
Try going to your Symbiostock settings and disabling ‘personalize interface’

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Exif / Iptc informationI think what we will end up doing is reading a few more EXIF fields such as Author, Location etc and add them to the search engine and also perhaps add that information under the technical tab. At this point, due to our workload I can’t give you an eta on this, however if it is something you want urgently you are free to use our support system to make a formal request.
There is no actual issue with having thousands of images in one folder, as far as I know. It is an issue with FTP because your client has to download all the file names, but you are probably going to rarely be accessing that folder anyways since all new files go into a different folder.
Separating them into different folders is currently not on the list. However, we have plenty of users with over 10k in images, so it should not be a problem. You may encounter some slowdown when you try to apply or change licenses in bulk, but this is a limitation on WooCommerce and WordPress that has little to do with Symbiostock.

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Sell prints 'License' optionHey Solosails,
FYI, we’ve now launched our support system here:
https://www.symbiostock.org/support/
I can’t guarantee that all the things you need changed will be do-able through it, as it is meant to provide basically minor customizations (changing the way the built in WordPress search works, for example, is quite intricate), however you may be able to submit different requests for different tasks.
Regarding the stuff you’ve mentioned in this thread and the other one, we are considering when and if to add such things in future releases, but can make no guarantee as to when or if they will be added. If you definitely want certain tasks done as a priority for your specific site, the support system is the best way to go.

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Sell prints 'License' optionYou can manually specify a new product attribute that will then show up as an option for customers, and even create your own license. Many of our users have done this – when they get an order, they manually forward the request to a third party.
However, to automate sending the file and print order to a third party would require custom work. This likely won’t be able to be bundled with Symbiostock as determining the syntax of sending requests to third parties, as well as whether or not to include such large files (and sending such large files via email) may all introduce new technical issues that would be difficult to diagnose on a server by server basis.
However, it is a good idea and I will look into adding more options to the ‘licenses’ so they may be expandable in this regard.

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Uploaded media not processedHey Solosails,
a) Yes, adding the entire line in the Symbiostock settings is correct
b) No, the string does not tell the server to run it every minute. You need to specify that yourself, likely with the * * * * * <command> syntax.
Also note that the processor does not run multiple times in the case that it takes more than a minute to complete, so there is no worry about it overloading your server.

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Exif / Iptc informationHey Jack,
It does not read and display EXIF information in its raw format – rather, it imports the title/headline, description, keywords and categories. I’ve received requests to add full EXIF data reading to the engine which is on the list, but for now those are the only ones.
A way to test this is to use Photoshop or some other editor to add a title, description and keywords to an image then upload it. Symbiostock should successfully import those fields as the product’s fields.

In reply to: [Symbiostock - Sell Photos Online For Free!] Uploaded media not processedHi Jack – are you running the processor?

Hey Solosails,
That’s some good research! Unfortunately, it would not work for you in this case as the WordPress, watermarked images have timestamps that won’t match the timestamps of your original files.
We will try to get the paid support system going soon.
Thanks.
