Well, to answer Sajedeh’s last message, yes I’m confused ??

If the sidebar brief description you mention is the following, then it is not the clearest wording either :

“Date range: The date range is valid from midnight of the “Start Date” until the beginning of the “End Date” day.”

I read it + the FAQ 10 times and still don’t know how to interpret that End date.

One of the reasons why is because there seem to be a difference of meaning between the actual real works End date and the parameter End date. Either that, or you need to defined clearly for us what you consider the real world End date to be :

For me a vacation range has an End date inside its range : If my vacation time is 9-11, then 11 is still vacation and 12 is reopening. So which is the end date for that case ?

From your answers above, I understood that the End date for that case is 12. Is that so?

    PS

For me it doesn’t match what is written in your FAQ (below). For me, “last day of vacation” is still vacation, so it should still be closed. I guess I’ll just see how the store behaves with my settings when the day comes :’-)

How do I set up my vacation dates?
Navigate to “WooCommerce” ? “Store Vacation”.
Check the checkbox “Set Vacation Mode” to enable vacation mode in your shop.
Enter the “Start Date” (first day) of your vacation.
Enter the “End Date” (last day) of your vacation.

    Ok, so :
    – Start date = first day where the shop is closed
    – End date = first day where the shop has re-opened

I need to make a note about this ?? I wish it was written as a note next to the parameters :’-) !

We haven’t had any problem with the timezone.

    Thank you, best,

Thank you for your answer !

So if we are the 7th at 10pm and I want the shop to open the 8th at 00am (right after 11:59pm on the 7th), I should select the 8th as the end date ?
Won’t the shop stay closed during the 8th if I do that ?

(That’s what I would expect. Otherwise I wouldn’t know what date to pick if I wanted the 8th to be the last closed day.. If I have to pick the 9th for that, then it means the “end date” is actually the first opening day _after_ the end date, no ?)

Sorry if I’m maybe getting the concept wrong and talking nonsense !

I’m pulling my hair on this very problem for the past couple of days.

    Here’s one difference I noted,
When I load the Give page without debug, the following assets get loaded for Give :

    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/give.js?ver=2.12.1 JS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/css/give.css?ver=2.12.1 CSS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/babel-polyfill.js?ver=2.12.1 JS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/give-stripe.js?ver=2.12.1 JS
    /give/5090?giveDonationFormInIframe=1 JS

If I load the Give page with the debug stopping JS and CSS unloading, I get these. The last 3 seem to get blocked for some reason that I don’t understand yet :

    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/give.js?ver=2.12.1 JS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/css/give.css?ver=2.12.1 CSS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/babel-polyfill.js?ver=2.12.1 JS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/give-stripe.js?ver=2.12.1 JS
    /give/5090?giveDonationFormInIframe=1 CSS+JS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/css/give-sequoia-template.css?ver=2.12.1 CSS
    /wp-content/plugins/give/assets/dist/js/give-sequoia-template.js?ver=2.12.1
    JS

Oh my, it was the “regexp” checkbox unticked …..

Any way to erase the embarrassing topic ?

Oh, I forgot this desperate try with the html entity for the tilde ?? :

    d) “/˜some-actual-url-stem-to-redirect-from/.*”

    Didn’t work either.

To give a more specific example of the old url scheme :

    site.com/~john/whatever
    site.com/~mark/something-else

And all starting with “site.com/~” must be 301’d in order to put an end to the 404 zombies staying in google’s memory. At least that’s what I’ve read is the way to go.
