In reply to: [Advertising Manager] Widget Adverts not showing?Temporal Distortion: Previewing the ad is the first step, but you have done that already. Do you have many ads with the same name? If so, ads will rotate through, so another ad may be showing rather than the one you expect. Can you try again, but add the shortcake through the editor tool (to make sure that there are no typos?)

In reply to: [Advertising Manager] Optionally Function… Just a thoughtjthrillz: Thanks for the suggestion. We do not track clicks yet (even though the analytics screen has a ‘clicks’ column!). We will add this to the list of optimizations once we get clicks working.
Fixed. Will push later tonight.

In reply to: [Advertising Manager] Memory useNetMassimo: In v3.5.3 there has been a change to the way that the data is stored. It should help you somewhat with your situation. It is not perfect, but I would be interested to know how it works after this version. Thanks!

There was an upgrade of WordPress which required a new methodology of shortcodes. We had to modify any ads that were embedded in posts with a new shortcode format. It appears that there was an encoding problem when saving posts that had our shortcodes.
Even after many tests, and the fact that the automatic upgrade was optional, the encoding still broke for a small number of users.
One method of changing back is to do a MySQL REPLACE in your posts table in your database (after backing up your data!):

In reply to: [Advertising Manager] Ad Manager Analyticsfroddis: agarrod77:
1. While the impressions are being counted, we are not counting views (e.g. when the ad is in-view for 1 second) or clicks yet. The reason for this is that click tracking on 3rd party ads is hard (well, tedious), and instead of having a vastly lower amount of clicks reported (and thus causing publishers to think that people are not clicking the ad), we decided to not implement, since Analytics is a relatively new page.
2. We do not make any adjustments to your creative. Most ads will have nofollow as well as robots.txt to make sure that spiders do not produce faulty clicks.

In reply to: [Advertising Manager] Brakes critical system componentseinsiol: What version of WordPress do you use? What other plugins do you use?
Hi Rodger,
v3.5.2 has split out the data into a number of DB fields, and also split out the backups into a number of fields, so that this will likely not be an issue.
Thanks,
Scott
